  1. Those pics were posted about 3 odd weeks ago on the UK site from a motor show in Germany I think. Check UK site for chat of expected price. From memory it would be for us about the 40-42k mark if the figures they quote are correct.
  2. Yueltide greetings from the bullet. Rollagrl only Craig can give you want you want. would be bizzarre if Santa did though :P More blue bits? I thought that you would be changing to snowflake :P I did hear though that Craig is putting blue bits all over the snowfake ;) Anyway drive safe, drink safe, eat safe and play safe. Hope you all got what what you wanted from the fat man. Enjoy your holidays as it will not be long before the lure of returning to work calls! Cheers SILVABULLIT :D
  3. Depending on how much boost you run will depend on what happens to your clutch. heavy duty clutch and pressure plate probably needed and if you do that then lighten your flywheel as well. Exhaust system is a necessity and probably 2 1/4 inch to maybe 2.5 inches depending on power output. Another thing that you'll have to change is your spark plugs to possibly higher or lower heat range depending on outcome. Should go pretty dam hard tho... cheers SILVABULLIT :D
  4. I'll probably be out on Thursday to spread the Christmas cheer! And also to meet LNE15' stalker friend. :D It's ok LNE15 big bad northy is there to protect you. Craig can devise the technical plan of escape and I can do stunt driving for a getaway! :P
  5. Spotted a blue Stivo heading towards the freeway on Loganlea rd at about 1.30-2pm. Was it you sporthatch 141? Also spotted a white Levin with full stivo kit. I thought it was danthuyer due to the hilux stance...
  6. Keep a strong grip on the wheel in the wet. Had some fun in mine recently when pulling out of a side street up a slight hill and planting the foot and feeling the car drift to the left, then hit second and hit lift, kept drifting and smacked the limiter, grabbed third and same thing. I pulled some right hand lock on got it straight in third and then it finally grabbed traction just as I hit lift in third. Talk about a sling shot! Who says you can't drift with the front wheels! :P
  7. I've had abs kick in a few times on me in my travels. When I first got the car I was approaching a round a bout at a considerable speed with the car in front of me nearly on the round a bout. A car came up to the RAB from the right and turned left so old mate in front of me decided to stop half on the RAB,for no reason as the car turning left indicated it was doing so. I suddenly realised the idiot in front had propped and I hit the brakes and actually locked up the LHS wheels on a smooth tar strip on the road when sudenly the ABS kicked in. It happened so quickly and had already backed peddle pressure of after hitting them so hard and pulled up with nearly a car length to spare. My other instance was taking a mate for a spin to show the ability of the Stivo. flat in third at about 130-140 and hit the brakes with about 25 metres to make the corner. Car nosed dived rapidly and as I ripped the wheel to turn in it momentarily engaged the ABS half way through the corner and actually settled the car nicely. Caught me by surprise but made out like I meant it to happen :P
  8. Saw a red Stivo on Coronation Dr today at about 1pm. Had personalised plates on it - MIK **. Anybody from here? Also saw a red Levin with full sportivo bodykit on it with some sort of exhaust as well on Coro dr.
  9. Hi Steve What's the chances of having a garage type gallery where you can put all the info about your car and pictures in a standardised layout? EG have a page which outlines the specific categories of a car - interior, exterior, engine gearbox etc etc Each category you type your info into relating the the mods on your car then have x amount of set pictures eg front on rear side under bonnet etc. Would be handy to be able to see everyone's car and what's done to it for easy reference. I've heard it mentioned among a few members but don't know if anyone has approached you about this. What are your thoughts on this? Cheers SILVABULLIT :D
  10. I'm currently going to Southside toyota for servicing but if they stuff up one more time then I"m taking my business to another dealer. Might try Lexus at Kedron! The box of choccies will get my wife going there for sure ;)
  11. Parked beside a black Stivo tonight at Chermside shopping centre in the Banfield st undercover car park. Totally stocko!
  12. Bundy mmm.... Could go and show up the bumkins in their v8 utes with the spotties, bull horns, B&S stickers, mud flaps etc etc you know the ones :P
  13. Don't buy a 180. there like a55holes- everybody's got one and does the same old thing to 'em. I agree with E-gene on this one. If you want a performance car and you don't mind the corolla's look or shape then go and get a drive of a Sportivo. Trust me the 180 probably won't be such an entertaining though once you've driven a Stivo :D Plus your buying a new car and not some five to ten year old import covered in Japanese fallout. Think of the cost of insurance for a 180.(turbo, sports coupe) 2 words insurance companies love to hear in the same sentence. I don't know how old you are but weigh up all your options before making a decision. Cheers
  14. dDfinatley plastic. Once you have got it off try some turps on a very soft cloth and gently rub the glue to soften it up. The turps eventually dissolves the adhesive and you can wipe it off with your finger. But don't rub too hard or you may scratch the paint work.
  15. Anybody seen or heard of the CAPA crewman? It belongs to Robbie Bolger who runs Donut King stuntriders who do the bike stunts, utes, Jet powered Hiace van and another Hiace with a 308 stroker in it. Awesome bits of gear. Well the Crewman has got 20's under it, Brembo 6 potters on the front and 4's on the rear with huge cross drilled and slotted rotors as well. Under the bonnet resides a 5.7 gen 3 with some internal mods(cam, lifters, rockers, forged pistons etc) and a vortex supercharger. CES made the pipes and exhaust sysyem for it and at it's last outing it pushed 958 odd hp at the wheels! I went for a ride in it with about 550 atw and I was like a kid in a candy store. Noise, inertia what else? It was awesome the amount of grunt this thing pushes. Now it nearly has double the amount of power so I'll try to get a ride in it next time I go to his place and I'll let you know what it's like. Kind of makes the stivo feel somewhat slow in comparison...
  16. Not all of us are on the southside. Da SILVABULLIT is from da northside!
  17. AARRGGHH It's making me sick. Please I've just eaten and I might ..... Too late there goes my dinner, thanks a lot <_<
  18. But is it big enough for his car and ego? Could this be the weekend we see the unveiling of the new sky blue Sportivo?(Mix of white and blue :P )
  19. Jc's ute was tied down too tightly. It didn't climb onto the front rollers as you suggested. The guys at the dyno shop admitted fault as he stood there and watched them right the wrong. AS for CES' dyno it is a Bosch dyno. Not sure of model etc but for an oldie it's a goodie and semms to read pretty accuratly when compared to other late model ones. cheers SILVABULLIT :D
  20. Hey what's this picking on RBT's? I'm just out there making cars look better and go better :P
  21. The dyno in question does give you a reading substantially higher than a conventional dyno using rollers. I've had my car on two totally different types of dyno's - one being the dyno used for the dyno day at CES and the other being the Dyno dynamics dyno at C and J Motorsport. I certainly didn't have 120 or so at the wheels but on CES' dyno i had 105kw and on the dyno dynamics dyno i had 107kw. Like it was mentioned a dyno is primarily for tuning purposes and can measure output as well. As for a dyno dynamics dyno not being able to be tampered with that is not true. JC had his ute on one and they played around with settings etc. For instance they tied it down with ratchet straps. Sounds ok but tightened them down an extra 2 clicks and his ute lost some 25kw atw. Change the temp and atmospheric settings and get another different reading. So all do have some sort of " variables" that can be tampered with. CES' dyno may be old but it has nothing that you can tamper with. No computer that you can set and fudge figures. Maybe older ones are better? As I found out it is pretty close to the mark of the more modern set ups. I personally don't agree with the reading you get from the hub style dyno's as it's not a real world scenario. No we don't drive around on our hubs but instead on wheels and tyres. And yes they do spin otherwise how would your car move? Of all the cars we dynoed at the dyno day none of them broke traction on the rollers and the only car that gave us trouble was danthuyers due to a flat spotted tyre which caused the car to bounce at low speed. So if you think hub style dynos are more accurate as they eliminate the tyre factor (wheelspin) then maybe you should remove the driveshafts as well cause who knows what sort of power are lost through them? Then what about the gearbox? Where do you stop? If you truely want to know what you car produces then do as Northy says and pull the engine out and put it on an engine dyno therefore eliminating all variables. My thoughts, my ideas so agree or disagree. Simple. Let's not whinge about the accuracy of dyno's etc again. Thanks. PS. does your dyno sheet have hand written values? Cause I've heard that's a no no! :P Look in the mirror and have a laugh!

    listen

Well there's one good thing about this-- he didn't confuse LNE15 with Craig Now that would have been worhty of a good laugh ;)
  23. Idon't know about that! the last cruise we had to Mt Tamborine etc I scored the bum of a kamikaze lorikeet right in front of my eyes. Got my attention very quickly!
  24. Saw a silver Stivo on Kingston rd heading towards town at 6.45am. Was it you? Let us know!
  25. I know of about 3 cars in brisbane that have more than 111kw atw. To beat that doesn't require a great deal of mods!
