  1. Hey Imek Sweet! if it looks the same as pics of my car then your in luck. I'll let you know in the next day or so on prices and order times as CES is really busy at the moment. Cheers SILVABULLIT. :D
  2. K&N filter is the same for both 1zz and 2zz engines as mentioned. I've got one on my car and I noticed an improvement in the car's performance albeit a small one. Light throttle response is better as well as when your cruising you use less throttle and it seems more effortless to sit on 100kph on the freeway. CES and I are currently (once exhaust production is up and running) trying to develop a replacement pipe for the air pick up for the standard air box. We will test it on the dyno etc to make sure it is effective and try to achieve a good increase in power with it. Will post results when they are available. Cheers Silvabullit. :D
  3. Hi guys Trevor will let me know in the next day or so about an exact price for the system. Just has to check with suppliers on pricing and time spent in producing one. Imek I will pm you with a price if you wish, so long as your car is the same spec/ shape etc for the system to fit. I know that there could/may be slight differences but in general it should fit. Installling the system is fairly simple and straight forward. It took me 5 minutes with the car on a hoist to remove the system to make the jigs and about the same to replace. It fits where it should and is a breeze to assemble. Those of you interstate may go to your local exhaust shop to get it fitted as you need to weld the flange on behind the cat where you cut the stocky off. Trevor will supply some instructions for you to follow as well. As for using your own rear muffler I probably wouldn't advise it as this system in tuned to work with the supplied muffler. Using your own may restrict performance as well as make the car noisy / drone and thus make the noise level illegal. I don't think it will be an option offered as the system is sold as a complete package with the choice of possibly having a single or twin tip tailpipe. This will also alter costs in some way. If you have any queries then please contact myself or Trevor at CES. CES 07 3200 2333 www.cesracing.com.au RBT Motorsport (Brennden) 0412 559 592 Cheers SILVABULLIT :D

  10. Hey guys Thanks to those of you that have notified me of your attendance at the dyno day. If all who say that they are coming or might be coming turn up then it will be a great day. If you are interested in running your car on the dyno notify me asap as there is only 4 spots left. If you see other Stivo's or their owners around in your travels then let them know. The more the merrier! :D :D :D Cheers SILVABULLIT.
  11. I am currently looking into the possibility of getting pads custom made from a subsidiary company of the Brock Shop in Brisbane. I've used them before with great results. My business used them on a Honda Civic rally car that we prepped etc and found that depending on the compound/make up of the pad you choose varies peddle feel stopping ability etc. They have a full on race pad through to a semi race pad(ones I used) which works when cold and doesn't stoop working when you get them really hot. We did 3 hard stops from 180kph one after the other and the peddle feel didn't alter neither did the stopping ability of the car. The pads were smoking cosiderably after the test and we drove away normally with no adverse side affects. The semi race and street pads don't increase disc wear at all and have a reasonable life span. The big thing I noticed is the harder you push the harder you stop!! Under race conditions I was able to pull up and early model Honda civic (heavily modified!) that hard on sprints etc that lifting the rear wheels off the track wasn't uncommon(so spectators kept telling me!) Hopefully over the next couple of weeks or so I'll be able to give you specs, prices and availability of pads. Stay tuned I'll keep ya posted! :D :D
  12. Silver Stivo's were obviously made on the same side of the assembly line as Lexus's are due to the lack of problems and great build quality :P :P :P :P As for black looking great at night so does a beat up Falcon with clean wheels!!!!
  13. What about painting the hubs in a universal type silver to match your wheel? Black can tend to look a bit factory boring if you what I mean. My opinion on the matter.
  14. I guess it could be said that the owners of white, silver and red Stivo's have a social life on weekends. Black owners have a social life taken up with trying to keep their car looking as good as a silver (especially), white or red Stivo!!!! :P
  15. Did you paint the hubs? They look pretty crappy unpainted and does make a big difference to the look of your wheels. Have a look at pics of my car. Think it adds that finished touch.
  16. LOOKOUT BLACK - HERE COMES SSSIIIVVVEEERRR TO SAVE THE DAY! YOUR REIGN MAY SOON COME TO AN END BLACKIES!!!! SO CHECK YOUR MIRRORS CAUSE HERE COMES SILVER!!!!!! :P :P :P :P
  17. I can vouch for the quality of a Quaife lsd. I know a few off road racers who run them and as peekay said they do "lock up" very smoothly without the severity of other types of lsd's on the market. Haven't heard of any being broken either and if they were then usually because of a major accident or impact on wheel which does substantial damage not only to car but to the hip pocket as well. Again a quality product has a quality price attached to it.
  18. Optional system is for one tip that size dumped in front of rear wheels on either side of the car. Something to make hot rodders jealous! :P :P :P
  19. I'm with suncorp. They'll insure your car with mods so long as you're honest with them. Each mod accumulates certain points on their scale. Once your points are above a certain level your premium goes up a bit. You have a choice of repairers and generally found them to be the cheapest. But in saying that there are a lot of factors that affect your premium. Your age, where you live, is your car garaged securely, used for business and of course the age of anyone else who drives the car. It's funny how nobody wants to get older until insurance is concerned, then everyone wants to be 30+!!!! Luckily for me I'm at that stage and insurance premiums don't worry me anymore. Suncorp's premium last time I checked was about $1250 for a year and they do a monthly payment system as well. Hope this helps.
  20. In Brisbane mainly black true. Then blue, some silver and the odd red and white ones.
  21. Hey Sporthatch 141 Sound like possibly a throw out bearing related noise. If noise is there when in neutral and clutch is engaged then it could be gearbox otherwise it sounds like it could be throw out bearing. Hames has had problems with his too. Done under warranty. Tell southside toyota to order shifter cables in as i'm going to get mine done there too in the next week or so with the recall. Cheers SILVABULLIT PS. Are you coming to the dyno/ show and shine day on the 20th Nov? Only 4 spots for dyno run available. Drop me a line. :D
