  1. Can someone from Melbourne tell us what areas we should be looking for accomodation in?? Suburb etc etc something close to all weekend activities.
  2. BKS did you ever get any proper Dyno figures of the Emanage/ V manage set? Had somebody ask me last night at our meet up and i didn't recall seeing any in this thread??
  3. Spoke to my suspension wholesaler regarding the difference between KYB and Monroe and they laughed big time. There is a reason why we don't sell Monroe. they don't want the come backs and warranty claims headache's!! All Pedder's suspension struts/shocks are Monroe's just simply stamped with the Pedder's brand and painted red. As far as they are concerned KYB is a far superior buy over the Monroe even if it is a tad dearer for all the obvious reasons.
  4. Yep that price is delivered!! Mate get the camber set at .75 deg negative. Anymore than that and tyre wear will be a another issue.
  5. As Mr North can attest to I do possess a rather healthy appetite :D what's this no Hooters??? We have to go to Hooters. Still yet to see anybody top or even match my efforts with the ladies.........
  6. VIC. 1. BKS 2. Guni 3. Jaderd 4. Kolourhero NSW. 1. xoom 2. 3. 4. QLD 1. Northy 2. DJKOR 3. Silvabullit (not 100% but about 80%) 4. SA/WA. 1. (WA) trdsaads 2. 3. 4.
  7. F1 is prolly the cheapest accomodation we'll get. Rooms sleep 3 I think but when we went to Sydney Azza rolled out the swag on the floor. If you share a room with bring ear plugs just in case I decide to snore like a bastad Be good if all the Brissy peeps hang at the same accomodation. Much more fun that way. And it was heaps of fun when we went to Sydney
  8. Hey guys can you make a post in here if your coming to the national meet and if your going to drive, fly, walk etc to Melb. Details can be found here, http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...st&p=301622
  9. Is there a F1 motel that is close to events? they are usually pretty cheap!! BKs chat to M_M as she got TOCAU shirts made up for moderators/organisers for last years meet in Brissy. that way it is easy to ask someone with a shirt on for details on what is happening and where. worked really well last year!!
  10. I'd say at this point I will be a co driver with Mr North. Only thing that may stop me will be a change of employment. In that case I will fly down and be in need of a lift from the airport. Accomodation guys i would suggest that we all stay at the same place. Logistically a lot easier for the Melbourne crew to organsie a meet point and for someone to come and meet us and follow to events. That is how we have done it at the previous nat meets and worked a treat.
  11. Azza sold his sportivo to a mate of his and on occasions get to take for a spirited drive to relive the memory.... and yes this is a TOCAU forum. I might not own a sportivo anymore either but do own a Hilux!! It does quite a few things the Corolla couldn't do thats for sure.
  12. My old car is still there and prolly gets more hits than most do even though I sold it nearly 2 years ago. Point being is a lot of people still look at it to get ideas etc as my car wasn't like a lot of the sheep you see on here. Azza still visits this site on a regular basis but doesn't post as much as he used to. He now owns a Rav 4 and does the odd post in there.
  13. Yoshi who owns Danthuyer's old Sportivo has a start button fitted. was the first one to do so on TOCAU so many moons ago..
  14. Ash you obviously haven't had a detail by me then Most of what "Larry" did to your car i used to do in my everyday wash and vacuum packages. A full on detail on a car like yours doing everything(even detailing under the guards and door jambs and fuel door LOL) would take almost the entire day. As for Mother's it's ok but more time consuming than Meguiars'. I used to have my own business detailing top end of town cars and time was money. I used the majority of Meguiars products and actually was a guinea pig in developing some of the products you see on the shelf today( Scratch X, colour boost etc etc) Meguiars requires a lot less elbow grease over Mother's any day. As for autoglym it is very good but takes a hell of a lot longer to achieve a better result that is hard to pick for the untrained eye over Meguiars stuff. The key is patience and attention to fine details to get your car looking as good as it can be. I didn't win a truck load of trophies for my old sportivo corolla for nothing LOL. Brissy boys if you have any questions about detailing chat to me on thursday nights. Happy to give pointers and tips. Everyone else I'm not telling LOL. Nah if you have a problem or want some info drop me a PM.
  15. Suprathai $650 sounds ridiculously cheap to supply and fit a clutch. If you got a written quote take that offer up!! RRP on exceedy H/D is about $680 depending on where you shop. I can get them for about $550. Standard replacement clutch kits are $585. So for $650 fitted someone ain't making a hell of a lot of money!! You must machine the flywheel when you fit a new clutch or risk having clutch shudder for the rest of it's life.
  16. they are quick to a point. But a good driver in a sportivo will give them a big fright!! Hell i did to one bloke and he was giving it everything it had and all he could do was pull 2 lengths on me to just over 100. I've seen northy upset one on the move from memory too.... not in the commode either...
  17. I can tell you $115 is a lot cheaper than a set of used cheap coilovers and will most likely ride better. If the only problem is you want to drop the back a few more mm then just get another set of springs. I have not adjusted the height of my car on coilovers since I put them in. If you want camber adjustment then another $100 or so will get you that too. If you want camber adjustment then add another $90. that's what I get them for. Corboy84 I hope you have a big box of panadol cause that's what cheap coilovers will give you... a big headache. rough ride, leaks the list could go on forever.
  18. CES is an acronym More Commonily it stands for "Custom Exhaust System" but as Stoopid head has pointed out it is also an abbreviation for "Custom Exhaust Specialists" an exhaust shop up here in Brissy that has produced a catback bolt-on exhaust for the sportivo, which several of the members have. Personally I dont see the problem with fellow forum member's stating they have a "CES" because the fact is they do and so do I, a "Custom Exhaust System" now if they had been saying "I have a "Custom Exhaust Specialists" system on my car" when they didnt then sure have a go at them.... But the fact is the acronym "CES" could stand for anything almost.... my 2c Honestly though, how many people use CES to just describe their exhaust as a custom exhaust, rather than a CES product? Not many I know of. Most common thing I have heard is "i have a sports system" LOL......
  19. warm water and a toothbrush to clean the vents mate. Even a small drop of dishwashing liquid to remove all the stickyness. then reapply some vinyl reviver/dressing after it has dried.
  20. Put super lows on the rear. extra 15mm drop over the lows you have in the front. I can get them for about $115 pair if you are interested.
  21. So what prices are you getting quoted on the Koni's??? Pays to shop around PM me if you need some info.
