  1. Mine gets waxed every 3 months. and if i find a small scratch etc thenn i'll polish it out and reapply wax in that area. hence my car is 4 years old in December and still looks a lot better than some cars getting around that are only a few months old. Best way to keep your car looking good is A) buy a light coloured car(black is a nightmare!!) and B) pay a professional car detailer to give your car a thorough detail say twice to 3 times a year.
  2. Don't drive in rivers, dams or other large bodies of water and you'll be right. :P Had a CAI on my car for about 3 years and been in heaps of storms and no troubles.
  3. :P Thankyou.... I put that in as I knew everyone would tell me to turn them down... Where would I get the KYB shocks? I dont want to spend a huge amount of money in the conversion... Gees Wei thought you would know me better than that <_< Have had someone else off this forum who said they were too hard. They were turning the koni's up NOT down. That was what I was implying for your information. I can get KYB replacement shocks for the Sportivo but won't be able to sus out prices etc till Monday. What size wheels are you running??? 16's, 17's or 18's?? That will also make a difference to how your car rides...
  4. http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9213 All the info etc is in here. Sounds like they got dealt with a little harshly. :( If they had of been driving Sportivo's they may have been able to out run the Cops Only joking but seems the boys in blue are getting tough perhaps...

  6. Sounds like you have the adjustment turned up too high. I have koni's with kings lows on my stivo and my wife drives it 805of the time and she hasn't complained about it at all. Maybe your turning them up instead of down. if I turn mine right down the ride is on my car bugger all different to stock in terms of stiffness. Also Pedders springs are actually kings springs just painted red!! This i know from someone from inside the kings factory....
  7. Moffat beach is a suburb, Caloundra is like a small city that is made up of numerous suburbs and the Sunshine Coast is the region that covers the coastline from northern Brisbane to Gympie basically.

  10. You guys do painting at your dyno days????mmm a little weird wouldn't you say :P
  11. I cannot see the point of putting all these braces on your car unless you plan on flogging it around a track every weekend. What you have now will handle fine but may need to be set up by someone who knows what their doing. Heavier front sway will incease the chance on understeer somewhat and to be honest most of the braces you are looking at will only be of benefit if you're on a track at 9/10's or 10/10's. Personally if you want better cornering play with camber/castor set up and tyres/wheel combos with a LSD.
  12. Obviously you didn't read this thread too well. The entire engine has been pulled apart and been strengthened in the necessary areas. Put someone in this car who can drive and it would most prolly run close to similiar numbers of a s14/15 with decent mods. CES were estimating between 210-250kw atw from this car. Yes it needs brakes and it needs suspension upgrades but it's not our car nor does it belong to CES so it's entriely up to the owner to do something about it. CES have already on numerous occasions mentioned the need for upgrades in these areas but in the end the owner makes the decision. Foolish to leave it as it is cause it will only end in a world of pain me thinks....
  13. Mate tough luck on the prang!! Damm hate seing Sportivos' mangled to bits.At least $23k is about what they are worth in the yards. Good to see some insurance companies give you the actual value of the car not their estimated value.
  14. Only one of the biggest selling cars of last century....
  15. Great ad!!! My old man loves it as all the early honda cars/bikes he has either owned or worked on. A trip down memory lane for him i guess!! And he used to wear an open face helmet like that too LOL
  16. i love the qld spirit!!! Yep and so do we!!!! QUEENSLANDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way i'll be at game one on Wednesday for my birthday sitting in the front row with my brother Look for me on TV. 18. Osaka Racing G6's 17x7 on Fulda Excelereo's 215/40/17's
  19. I put rubber mats over the toyota ones as the rubber ones are heaps easier to clean. If the carpet ones do get dirty then take them out and wash them with a pressure cleaner. you will be surprised at how clean you will get them. Or do it at carlovers or somewhere like that.
  20. Here's one I got sent a while ago. The New Ford Focus with more horsepower!! And one for the forum Whores out there.....
