  2. my headlight protector prevented a btoken headlight!! :D i had an encounter with an object and it fully cracked my headlight protector on the driverside, and the headlight was untouched!! :D
  3. Hey, before you get blasted by the guys to do a search on this topic (a search in this forum that is) The Australian Sportivo exhaust piping is quite different to the Japanese spec RunX. As you can see by googling or even looking at the TRD site that the muffler for the Jap RunX is actually on the passenger-side and not like the aust spec. which is on the left. In terms of performance, TRD mufflers will set you back $800~$1200 but are proven gains, as with Remus. However, you can alway have other types of exhaust, like a full CES custom (look at the sticky on the top of this forum). Or simply any muffler that you can find and have it fitted. Various members use different things, WeiWei has used a cannon (milo tin) or as Northy and Shaohoak will tell you, the "Sports Pipe" (i.e. no muffler) gives you the best run!! :D haha~ Up to personal taste and the tone of the exhaust really... :)
  4. i don't really believe in the adjustable idea, coz i think as discussed here before, what's the point of adjusting it anyway? its merely a way of saying... "we can't make one that fit exactly"
  5. 3" is not the right size, and don't bother custom the intake.... i've done it and it doesn't work.... 3" Stainless pipe with Advance Perfromance Coating (that ceramic thing...) and it stuffs the AFM.... 2.75" at the most... go measure up the TRD/AEM pipes...
  6. WASABI Its Green, its smooth, and it BURNS! :D :D
  7. Have a look for the 1ZZ-FE (ZZE-130) service manual! they explain it very well in there! ;) (have a look under workshop) While on this topic, i used about 15% toyota red stuff with a bottle of water wetter, topped with distilled water. Did this while i put my TRD Thermostat in, its awesome!!!
  8. The best so far is 27000 flat on road! ;) Brisbane! :D
  9. have a look in your toyota service manual/log book
  10. meh... the apexi manual explains it very well... if not look at MAP-81's emanage guide... its pretty comprehensive! or pay someone to do it! :D
  11. What's the weight difference between you and your GF... could it be you're lighter than your GF?? haha! no offence buddy... :D but suprising results... :) should reset the ECU on the one with the CAI
  12. 30k... 40k... gee... i think the thing is... if you spend 40k on a stivo, and you smoke ppls with 40k wrx, they'll be scratching their head wondering what hit them.... oh the other hand... by the time you spend 40k on a rex, you'll say... oh... exhaust, turbo, intercooler, dogbox, injectors, fuel pumps, blah blah... $60k or even 80k rex... mmm... 80k why don't i get 2nd hand M3 or something? you get the picture? people are hard to please... i feel like that sometime... but oh well... a rolla is a rolla a rex driver would tell ya... and you can say... yup that's it... a rolla is a rolla that's why you can't get over why you got burnt by one... :D
  13. nod nod!! sure is tasty alright!! ;) danz, heard that shao had a ride in your car while he was down there! (and the funny stuff you guys did!! :D) it'll be my turn next time! ;) would love to drive down!
  14. i got a 5 year extended + roadside, but what's the go? i don't think i'll ever use it, besides, i've probably done enough to my car to void pretty much all major parts covered. :D
  15. i've got king lows... you should have a flick though the garage section... you'll be surprised to see what you find in there... cheers...
  16. $170 x 4 = 680 (tyres) (Don't know what type you're planning but this seems rather cheap!) Discs (rotors) = RDA/DBA Standard Slotted about $170/corner (i.e. 4 x 170) Pads = again depending on what you use... from $60-$380 (each end) i.e. 2 x what ever.... front and end its not cheap, and you forgot a few things... Fluid (race DOT4 or 5.1) = $60~$150 Braided lines = $150~380 (again depending) on top of that, there's labour....
  17. Supercheap Auto or your local brake service place... ;)
  18. too much grip in front won't help your rear stocks hold.... if you have GT3 or GT4... try it on that! :D perfect simulation... :D DBA Gold don't come in our sizes, you're better off getting standards... and have them slotted... if not... get RDA, or just visit your local brake service place.... they'll answer all your questions...
  19. Firstly, if you're gonna get semi in the fronts only i wouldn't recommend it... its would throw your grip off balance too much. (unless you plan to do sideways, then probably off the track...) as for the brakes, in brisbane, with braided lines, new slotted rotors, new fluid, pads, blah blah.... would set you back from $1300 to about $2000+ depending on what you use. if you are going to EBC, i would go for Red Stuff, but i'm sure there are pads out there that are more affordable and of similar standards. (btw, don't be fooled by them telling you that they are dust free or have little dust...) as for helmet, anything that looks like one with the aust. standard approval is good (enough) :D Cheers.
  20. damn! the worst i've had was about 280 when the fuel light came on... :D
  21. have a look in the workshop section... reset your ecu, it'll fix your problems... cheers
  22. Top Speed... pffft.... who gives a @#$@!!! if you want to try out top speed then why not get a car that actually has some proper speed?! i drive a levin, and couldn't car less on what i can clock on topspeed. measuring it is like measuring the size of your... (well heaps of things) but the bottom line is... WHO CARES?! how about we talk about more interesting things like how lines should be taken at what speed and gear as well as the difference a LSD might make to the entry and exit speed.
  23. I suggest this to everyone. Before you make a comment about someone else's driving, think about all the stupid things you have done. THEN consider that, at the speed that we travel on the track, there's about 1/10 of space for error, hence if you've had no track experience, then i suggest you keep quiet and go try it for yourself. Furthermore, i might not look much on the footage of how fast the car was travelling, it was speed of about 175-200km/hr. It is the same concept and perception of how fast a car travels down the quarter. Road car done up with street tyres weren't made to be doing that type of speed through that type of 'beating'. MAP-81's experience that day was not in anyway shameful or to be laughed at. Show some respect! As he was kind enough to show us the footage and allow us to learn from it! OTHERWISE! how about the people making comments show us how bad of a driver you are with the silly things you've done?! Take it easy out there. (MAP-81 was sensible to push that hard only on the track, hence don't try anything at that speeds on the road.) Speak to myself or anyone that participates on track events if you want to know more about the how difficult it is to drive in ideal race manner.
  24. i tried looking myself, and couldn't find any in brisbane... :(
