  1. hahahahahahaha thats a halarious story... kids suck... you shoulda dropped him. noone would have noticed...
  2. i appreciate the disclaimer at the top saying that this is only directed at the bad sheep. the sad thing is, the bad sheep P platers will never learn. They are always going to think their freedom means they drive however they want, and the only way they learn is by losing their licenses or their lives. it sucks, but its just in the nature of a teenage male with control over a car. all this crap the government brings in like not allowing P platers to drive turbos and things like that. i think its a waste of time, and the pansy cheap way out. i can get my 1973 Corolla with 36kw(ish) at the rear wheels to get to a speed in which i could die. what i think the problem is: to get your Ps, you need to be able to manouver a vehicle through the roads. thats only half of driving. when something different happens (traffic changes quickly, car pulls out when it shouldnt, or even a quick aqua plane), how are you meant to know how to respond when you've never driven on your own before? i think the government should stop stuffing around with how great they are for bringing in restrictions on the cars kids can drive, and start spending the important money in teaching kids how to react to hazards... ive done an advanced driving course, and i still stand by my belief its gotten me out of plenty of accidents because i was taught exactly how to control my car in different scenarios and at different speeds. anyway that was messy and im not thinking clearly... but thats what i think on your P plater issue.
  3. well it all depends on what muffler you get... i had a stivo muffler on my ascent, quiet as... now i have a lukey and its looouuuddd....
  4. you CAN do it without spring compressors, but i wouldnt recommend it at all. there's a good chance you'll kill yourself... as far as a write up goes... visit http://9thgencorolla.com/forums/index.php... and search through their DIY section for a springs installation thread.. it will tell you everything you need to know..
  5. hey V6_Kamree... i think i did have a domain at one stage, waaay before i did any mods, but i just never got round to updating it... we have a member's ride section now, so all you have to do to find our cars is look in there... each first post should have some pics of the owner's car... alternatively, if you click up the top where it says registry, you can search through the pages we've created on the forum for our ride. its all very simple. i think we would use cardomain more, but we have 2 different and effective domain style things on here... just another thing: i'd like to apologise for the people who wrote the comments above. i realise you're new to the forum, so i hope this can be forgotten and you enjoy your stay here. you'll learn there is alot of senseless whining because we have some keyboard heroes, but all in all its a very fun group of people. are you in sydney? if you are you should come out to one of our meets. :D
  6. i cant imagine toyota would ever sell anything that sporty in australia.. it does look very nice though!
  7. thats not so bad man - at least you got out there and had a go. all you'll do is improve.. i dont think the weather was on your side last night either.. maybe soon we can organise another wednesday night for all the sydney folks to head out together... i dunno maybe its getting too hot for it to be worth it...
  8. i like to have a good chuckle at the bash.org quotes every now and then... some of them are pure class...
  9. Just wondering who would be keen to do a day cruise on Sunday 19th of November up towards Terrigal? We'd leave in the morning from thornleigh maccas... cruise up there, maybe hit the beach for a bit, grab a bite to each, have a photoshoot, and head back home in the arvo... who's keen? if we can get a bit of interest, we'll lock it in... cheers, Tom
  10. yep its already got a clear coat, but its rough for now... tomorrow is shining time :) and more photos time of course... im so stoked with how its turned out... i think it will be registered very soon, so she'll be coming along to a meet soon :)
  11. THE PAINTING IS FINISHED!!!!! WOOOOO!!!
  12. well they are both 20V engines... the silvertop was the original one, and easily the most common, and as a result, the cheapest... the blacktop is the newer one, only released in a few cars, and more expensive... the only real difference is the blacktop has VVT technology... you'll easily be able to pick up a 20V SX seca for under 2 grand, but it would be in questionable condition... it depends how much you wanna spend i guess... if you wanna get JUST the engine, check out the jap motor import places for a rough idea of prices... and as far as modifying a 16V over a 20V, the 16V IS easier because theyre more common, and they came out as the 4AGZE, so all the performance parts are there... the 20V was a fairly shortlived engine... its an awesome idea, but for my project, ive decided to opt for a 16V just cos parts are cheaper and more available...
  13. ahhh mate i love it... so much... its about time this forum had some real cars!!!!
  14. dude this car is beautiful... Ke10 or 11? im restoring/beefing a KE20 at the moment... check my member's ride... i love old school rollas... :)
  15. yeah yeah.. just so nobody is confused.. we will all meet at villawood at 8pm... when we've had enough chatting and inspecting cars (if you're new, make sure your car is up to scratch!), we'll head to aqua golf from there... ok if you're new, im just kidding... if you have a toyota, your car is as cool as the next person's... we dont judge a stocker, we've all been to meets in a stock ride... (well most of us :P)...
  16. sweet as... will our hills residents be meeting at showground at 7.30 as per usual?
  17. hahahaha thats some funny **** man... do you know the person who filmed that?
  18. motion passed... (unless someone has some major issues with going to aqua golf)... dylan you took us a pretty awesome way last time.. i'd be keen to follow you out there again.. otherwise we'll jump on the freeway out to penrith...
  19. hey man, i watched your O.P run video and your toyfest one too.. i loved the toyfest video- top stuff for your 2nd attempt... the footage is good too of the O.P run. i know how hard it it so get steady footage in a moving vehicle, and you've done a great job... my only criticism for that video is the music is too loud and dylans sexual engine is too soft... i've made a couple of videos of our TOCAU meets, im sure if you hunt back to the kiama meet you can find a link to the one i made... i do all my stuff on windows movie maker... anyway... keep up making the good work - you'll develop new ways of doing things and the quality will only keep improving..
  20. its all about the mood baby... no but seriously, sometimes we plan a cruise before hand... other times we just see what people are in the mood for and head out there... we go anywhere from aqua golf (i'm still always up for a game of aqua golf) to the O.P or down to the nasho park...
  21. pete what have you got against the wet? surely you can handle your car in the wet?
