  1. They are always sold in pairs. Their English is just not the best at saying that. Otherwise you would think that: 1) It is a bit pointless selling them individually, and 2) They would have asked left or right side if they did sell it individually.
  2. We're still going on about the whole Aurion FWD/RWD talk? This discussion just never dies.
  3. Once again you seem to doubt me :P
  4. Spotted mick.wheelz minus the wheels outside Milton BP/Maccas at 12:51am today. Someone has the munchies.
  5. The 2GR-FE has a timing chain. No changing necessary (as in a recommended service interval) unless it goes bad.
  6. Didn't do much today. I got the idea from Steven who had also done the same thing. I wanted to start using the USB input to my head unit, but the only issue is that the USB port is located on the front of the unit. I don't really like the look of having a USB drive/cable sticking out the front so I worked on relocating it. It is now located in my centre console in the box behind the gear shift. Some photos for reference. I don't own a Dremel and my measurement was slightly off so the result isn't quite that great, but it's good enough for me.
  7. I'm not a fan of Fords but that sure looks like a nice car. Every time I look at it though, I keep thinking of cop cars . Anyways, happy driving Ash.
  8. Ouch. That's certainly the first I've ever heard of that happening.
  9. Oh yeah, and there was that LOL worthy quote from SuperDave (I think... I was so busy laughing that I forgot) which went something like this: "You can use the jack for your car to jack it off".
  10. I guess you weren't paying attention. While we were standing around talking, we observed that some guy's bike was stuck with the log barrier through the open section of it's frame.
  11. The only reason why people are saying it's a bit pointless to compare the two cars is because you should first be deciding on what type of car you want (small, mid-sized, large/family, or SUV) before you should even be making comparisions on this level. First you wanted to compare a Camry to a Impreza which is fair enough because they are of a similar type (though you wanted to compare looks which is a bit pointless without your own personal opinion) and of a valid discussion. Now you are comparing two types of cars which is not really an easy comparison because something like this is for you to decide. I don't know how you go about your daily life, so you decide on what size car fits you best. Then you can compare different grades of the same car, based on what suits you best in both fit and budget. Even still... don't expect anything fast.
  12. Aurion 4 the win? 6 speed semi auto :D Nah man. It's still based on an Auto box. A clutchless sequential like DreadAngel was referring to is essentially a manual box where the clutch is controlled by the car... as is the gear shifting mechanism. Just imagine it like a manual car where someone else is doing the clutch work and gear shifting for you.
  13. Don't bring the SS. Bring the thing with the blower.

    LOL. Sweet.
  15. Man that looks hot Steve. Works well with your colour car. Now I really really want to tint mine, but I have been pretty unlucky lately with respect to cop attention. I'm just worried that if they can't bust me for the error in the registration, they will find something else to pick on. Maybe I will just have to do the opposite and go all clear for mine. But that's enough about me, so I'll say again... I love it.

  17. I could really do with one of those sundaes again right about now. Stress related sugar craving to the max.
  18. Damn. That stuff comes up really nicely. I really want to do mine now. Can't wait to see the final result.
  19. Looking from where the damage is isolated to, it would appear that the LED/PCB had potentially shorted against the metal socket of the fog light housing. Voltage regulation on something like that is going to do jack s*** when it's shorted out. Seems like they put the LED's too close to the base.
  20. Some dude in the US of A.
  21. She's a tight one isn't she.
  22. This would definitely be better value if you choose not to buy the TRD Aurion.
  23. You can only obtain this from Toyota. Look up a dealer on their website, give them a call and enquire about it. To get you started, I will give you the following item numbers to enquire about: 17190-8Y001 - Super Charger Set (supercharger assembly, pulley, and bypass actuator), [AUD$4818.00 (inc. GST)] 99367-YWQ03 - Belt, V-Ribbed [AUD$487.00 (exc. GST)] 89660-8Y001 - Computer Engine Control [AUD$3932.25 (exc. GST)] Then you need to add the injectors, intake manifold, intake pipework (top hose is worth around AUD$100), etc.
  24. Yes, that's pretty much how you would do it. You would either have the control circuit in series with the steering wheel controls or you can have it parallel with it. If you have it in series, you would need to ensure that the circuit is of really low resistance so that it does not interfere with the existing controls, or if it is in parallel, the resistance needs to be really high. In terms of simplicity, having a circuit in series would be the better option as it would make it just that little bit easier to integrate. As to what circuit you would make, I can't really help you there at this point in time.
