  1. This might help (you may need to do the part I've highlighted in red towards the bottom first): INITIALIZATION 1. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUBASSEMBLY NOTICE: When replacing the sliding roof drive gear, the sliding roof drive gear requires initialization. If a reset is not executed, the following functions do not operate: auto operation and key off operation. (a) Turn the ignition switch on (IG). (b) Make sure that the sliding roof is fully closed. (c) Push and hold the CLOSE switch or the UP switch until the following movement finishes: Tilt up → approximately 1 second → tilt down → slide open → slide closed. (d) Check that the sliding roof stops at the fully closed position. (e) Finish the initialization. (f) Check that the AUTO operation works normally. NOTICE: If the following conditions occur during initialization procedure, initialization will fail. • Ignition switch is turned off. • Sliding roof control switch is released while sliding roof is operating. • Vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more. • Communication is cut off. • Another switch is turned on during initialization. • The vehicle experiences a strong vibration during initialization, such as the slamming of a door. HINT: • If the sliding roof cannot be fully closed or its position has become misaligned, perform initialization again. • If the roof glass stops moving or starts moving in the opposite direction while the CLOSE or UP switch is held down, continue to hold the switch for another 10 seconds or more to return the sliding roof control ECU to an uninitialized condition. Then perform the initialization procedure again. • If the AUTO operation function and jam protection function do not operate after the drive gear has been reset, replace the sliding roof drive gear (sliding roof ECU).
  2. You simply go into Pedders and tell them what you want. If you tell them you want to lower it, they will suggest either springs or coilovers. This would probably result in them charging you full price though, so instead, when you go in ask them what is the best deal they can do for you for some Sport Ryder lowering springs and fitting. I'd personally recommend getting King springs if you want to go that way, or if you do go for coilovers, ten go for Pedders. Up to you really. Just read around since people prefer one over the other.
  3. Welcome to the world of expensive tires. It's one of those things that can be easily overlooked when you get a car. If you aren't in an immediate hurry, you should try searching for online tire/wheel shops that deliver. If you ring around, you can usually find some good deals. For example, decent tires (not like cheap Nangkangs or anything like that) for my Aurion start from $430 per corner if bought in store around here. St. George Tyres on the other hand can offer some good tires for just under $300 per corner. All I have to do is pay a small shipping charge and wait for delivery. So it always helps to shop around.
  4. To be honest, I thought they would considering most mirrors these days do. But that's just what I think. I have never actually looked or asked.
  5. I've sat in a couple of lowered Aurions and feel that I can make a comparative comment. When comparing a lowered Aurion with 19's/20's to a stock (Sportivo) Aurion with 17's, the ride comfort is noticeably different. It's not a massive change, but it's enough to notice it's slightly more 'twitchy'. That said, it doesn't take long at all for you to adjust to it and completely forget about it. As well, springs like Kings and Pedders are a more progressive spring than the stock springs. This means that for the initial bit of compression, they are rather soft. This means that even though they are lowered, it doesn't instantly mean the ride is hardened up for your everyday driving. Most of the change in feel comes from the larger wheels and lower profile tires. The difference in comfort observed from the springs alone isn't really that much when you are driving normally. As for the factory warranty, changing the springs will not affect it at all unless it can be proved that using lowered springs was the cause of any fault that occurs in the future.

  9. I know exactly the one you are talking about. There aren't any pictures anymore of it, but when you could see them, it was two cannon style mufflers complete with custom pipework up until the cat. Had really neat bends and welds in it and was made to bolt directly up to a Gen 6 V6 Camry. I would imagine bolting onto an Aurion would just be the same. But as I said, it seems this thing doesn't exist anymore.

  11. Good stuff. Hope you like it. If I was to add my opinions though for any future reference, I would say that something like this is a little overpriced for what you are getting, especially when the Borla package only has the pipework up to the flanges of the rear y-pipe. Unless you are working to build an uber clean car where your your exhaust will be judged, then you can save quite a bit of money going to an exhaust shop. Even the right exhaust shop can do some quality welding for good value as well. Fitment is never an issue as they will always have various types of mufflers that they can use, and the purpose of the shop is for them to do any custom pipework that you require. Also if I might add, X-Force mufflers such as the Varex are not actually cheaply constructed. They are a fairly solid muffler of good quality. If I was to spend that type of money on a bolt on system, I would have just waited a bit longer for some shipping and purchased the TRD cat-back exhaust. It's basically a Borla setup as well, but at least it even comes with pipework up to the cat and you get the TRD name with it. They used to have one I think. I wonder what happened to it.

  13. I'm pretty sure it would look better in person since the flash on your camera is ruining the effect.... but still, It's a nay from me. It doesn't quite blend in completely with the entirety of the car. Edit: And straighten your e-Toll. It's bugging me
  14. That is pretty wicked as the media hub for your car. The only bad thing I could see from it all is the reflectance of the screen. Apart from that, I can't really imagine any other issues. If only I could operate a Dremel and modify things like that. That sure is some clean work.

  20. The Aurion mirrors do fold. You have to fold them yourself though.
