  1. Well that was a great way to blow a few minutes. Interesting read though. Lucky for us that we have Mt. Nebo. I like point 7 at the end. "I don’t recommend this drive for big family cars".... really hey. LOL at point 10. "If you’re driving a Toyota TRD Aurion, make sure you’ve said your goodbyes and completed your will kit before heading off!"... The TRD let alone the Aurion isn't that bad isn't it Elgin. And Mick, you'll probably get enough G's through you to keep everything inside.
  2. That actually looks really good. You should attempt the grill now Top effort for being different.
  3. I'm not sure if this is old or anything. Just came across it. Damn this guy knows how to ride: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  4. "One of the most powerful small cars in Australia." "It's the holder of the Australian land speed record... speeds up to 200km/h" Go the Rolla.
  5. Serious? That's good words to hear then.
  6. Bit late but I already filled in my attendance on the second post.
  7. I thought you were on your last point... as in you only lost 3 points in the last year scenario. If that is the case, you will receive a letter once the fine is resolved to either suspend your license for 3 months, or to be on a good driving behaviour for one year. If you chose the good behaviour option, you are THEN given 2 points to live off for the following year. Lose one, you're still in the clear... lose 2, then say bye to your licence for 6 months.
  8. Features like that have been available on the US models prior to the revision. Just goes to show how slow they are in Australia to do things. That passenger seat belt warning would annoy me since for my job I always carry at least a box of things on the passenger seat. That would certainly set the buzzer off. But I can imagine them costing a fortune. That's on the Presara equivalent overseas. They actually had that feature before the model revision. It's part of the 'Plasmacluster' feature of the air conditioner. Basically it's just an air ioniser.
  9. Firstly, from what I could see where I was, it actually surprises me how their camera snapped you. Either way, I guess that answers that question. Secondly, when I dropped your shirt off for you when I returned from Melbourne, what was that you told me as you laughed when I mentioned about going into negative demerit points? Suck .... :P I guess we're in the same boat now. I still haven't paid my fine yet (thanks to Victoria giving 6 weeks to pay). I'm not looking forward to paying it though cause then I will get the notice in the mail, and my good driving behaviour won't start till I submit that notice. I've been trying hard to get into the habit of not speeding, but I just can't seem to get there. I think I need like an electronic speed limiter or something.
  10. Same answer as Q&A number 3 on the FAQ. The grill discussed above was bought off eBay as a 'one-off' thing.
  11. Just a small (and lame) teaser to show that the ball actually is rolling. It's not just talk anymore. I can't do this by myself though. I have been extremely lucky enough to have some assistance. Names will be revealed upon completion to save from him from being disturbed:
  12. A multi-meter is extremely useful in this scenario. That way you can measure which line gives +12v when the door is open. I never took photos of the process (just something I never think of), so I can't quite point out which wire it was.
  13. You can do it without lifting the car, but it helps. I managed to just squeeze under there, so I put my rear up on jack stands to give me some more flexibility. I'd advise the same, but if your skinny enough, you can tackle it without the jack stands.
  14. Got the TRD grill that Brad! was selling eh? For painting it, you would be looking at around $50-$100 depending on who you get. I would budget around $100. Since you have the Sportivo, go for the rear sway bar and front strut brace first. Then if you feel like it, drop it down. That's the order I did (will do) mine in.
  15. See; there was no need to panic. ... And what was that that you said dannywss?
  16. Higher probability of hurting the environment

    Photoshop!!!!

No need to ask me mate. You can do whatever you want. It's not like my images are special to begin with. If you can't find the picture you want from my Members Rides, or by clicking on the image in my signature, let me know.
  18. Firstly the switch that Ingres got was uniform in colour with no irregularities. As for the fitment, it didn't exactly lock into place in the panel, but slotted in without the need to shave or cut away any plastic. Once in, you can press the button without it catching on the side. It does the job with no issues at all.
  19. Yeah. I think he realised that all show, no go wasn't quite for him Just messin' with ya man. Our cars run practially the same, yours just had some gear on it that dropped it's performance a notch, but made it one sick looking ride. I would have loved to style my Aurion like that and roll on some deep dish 20's, but someone's gotta retain the Sportivo'ness of the Aurion. I should give you a ride in my Aurion towards the end of next week. Hopefully by then I should have a few surprises for you. In the meantime though, I guess I will be at the back of the pack for the Nebo run this week. My budget hasn't accounted for new tires yet.
  20. The OP isn't lucky enough to have a Fulcrum nearby. Lucky for us though living in Queensland.
  21. Far out. All this talk about changing car makes. We have to kick you guys out from the Thursday meets now otherwise it won't be a Toyota Owners Meet anymore. We need to find some new recruits since everyone has pretty much jumped ship.
  22. That will make you more unique then. I don't plan on buying a new car until this one kicks the bucket. I'm too pov to keep upgrading.
