  1. Sheeeeett. I predict that the 1 inch bypass hole was not large enough to support what the engine needed which probably led to the valve giving way.
  2. Mmmmm. That does sound quite nice with no exhaust. Make sure to give it a good run to let the neighbours know you're around I wonder what is going on eh. As for the Varex, I have always been a bit "hmmmm" about the idea of running it in the closed position for your situation. When closed, I think it ends up being more restrictive than the stock resonator. Either way though, if that was always closed and it only got to a bad state then, I would be saying the problem isn't entirely with the Varex... though that could certainly be a contributor to your bad fuel economy. That said, it the bypass chamber has managed to get blocked somehow, then that may be the cause for the latest issue. Still, me thinks there is some more troubleshooting to be done.
  3. Good luck with trying to convince them. Not trying to be negative here, but be prepared for disappointment. This isn't exactly what they would define as such. It is such an unfortunate situation, but unfortunately there is not too much that can be done about it.
  4. My TRD is up to 110,000km. Considering the engine and gearbox experiences more stress due to the supercharger, it's still running smoothly and there isn't really anything out of the ordinary with it.
  5. As far as I'm aware, such a task has not been done in Australia. You will need to do your own research. Speak one on one with professionals who do this stuff for a living to get an idea of what work needs to be done.
  6. Of course it's possible. However it would be way better value to turbo your AT-X (custom job) than to put the TRD kit into it. This has been covered in this forum already. Please search for that firstly. Also, there are no other factory supercharged Aurion's apart from the discontinued TRD Aurion.
  7. That was quite lucky.... make that extremely lucky. On a side note, motorcycles and fast keep reminding me of Ghost Rider, eg:
  8. When I decide to cross that bridge, I am going to connect my laptop with external drive to the Marriott network (shhhhhh)... 50 Mbps synchronous EOC line FTW.
  9. Yes they will. But you will need to compliment them with some callipers. Andrew357 was using a set before he upgraded to the TRD rotors and callipers.
  10. Unless you have one of the new units with the colour screen or an aftermarket/dealer fitted unit, then you are out of luck sorry.
  11. Which realistically may not even matter in the case of the GT-R. It already does a 7:24.22 which is already faster than other purpose built cars which are lighter in weight. It's not all about being light you know. You don't have to just reduce weight to increase your power-to-weight ratio. Also, a large power-to-weight ratio achieved by reducing a lot of weight does not always translate to being faster around a track.
  12. The lights we are referring to here are the individual door courtesy lights. The door switches provide ground for the Body ECU connection (so your dash can tell you which door is open) as well as grounding the light as well. For reference:
  13. You're signature size is a little on the large size don't you think?
  14. I did consider that and nearly put in on so that you must have 30 posts to your name before you could post in the appropriate forum, however I then though, what about a non-member who comes across the post on Google during their searching and then proceeds to sign up just to post their interest in said item on the forum? They would then not be able to. Sure there is PM, but then some people may not be aware of how to do so. Either way, it seems to be working as it is at the moment. There are only like a couple of threads made a week and most of the time, I have been able to approve it shortly after posting (I get push email notifications). Thanks for the advice though. It's definitely something on the cards if it starts to get harder to manage.
  15. Just pay the little extra and get the coilovers... and like Hiro said above, it will allow you to raise your car a little.
  16. Hardly. Just too much time to spare. Need a new car to learn about now. Come on FT-86.
  17. Sounds like the fuel level float may have stuck at the level it was displaying. Could possibly have been a once off thing. I guess you will find out. Hence my previous comment:
  18. Love them mate. Trent: He got them Friday. Mentioned it amongst our talk in the Brisbane thread. That said, how many TRD's do you usually see in the first place.
  19. 4x 19 Inch TRD Aurion Factory OEM Wheels & Tyres Brisbane members will know who owns these.
  20. Oh boy. You just can't stop can you? Nice move though.
  21. Just don't make em as solid as they used to eh. Good work on figuring this one out. I'll add this into the FAQ when I get a chance.
  22. Don't bother mate. Does absolutely nothing measurable on even the TRD... which would actually benefit more from it if it needed. Save the $10 or so and put it towards something else.
  23. Go Hamish. Good to see people caring about their health. I wish you luck.
  24. Valuable information. Thank you for the heads up.
