  1. Before even considering spring problems etc, have you even had your car corner weighed? For all you know, there may be less weight on the Front Left compared to the Front Right and you are wasting time thinking the problem is elsewhere.
  2. Today I helped Steven fit some King Springs to his Aurion. So jealous now. I really want to lower mine. As for my car.... well last night I happened to have a sick (intoxicated) passenger in one of the rear seats. Unfortunately the paper bag which I had in the car was not enough to contain what was to come next. Long story short, most of the mess was contained to the seat. Thank f*** for durable leather seats. Did require removal though to clean what made it underneath then then the floor mats required some good hand washing. Luckily I am a bit OCD when it comes to hygiene and things like that because now my interior is just like new again. Probably cleaner than it was before last night. Accidents like this may not be so preventable, but I have learnt two things: 1) Always carry plastic bags in the car, 2) When I have kids... leather seats are a must.
  3. Good work resurrecting an old thread that is related to a different situation. This thread was referring to the old cable throttle (refer to this post) whereas the latest issue that was reported was the electronic throttle. .... which if you aren't aware: NASA's Toyota Study Released by Dept. of Transportation The issue mentioned above with the sticking accelerator pedal was only identified on American built Toyota's (the pedals were sourced from a local manufacturer 'CTS', read more here) and does not affect the Japanese sourced accelerator pedals (Denso) found in the Toyota's you buy in Australia. As much as I want to feel empathy for your issue that you are having with your car, just because you get an issue that sounds so familiar as the ones in America, it doesn't immediately mean that you are in the same group as them.
  4. Photos just don't do it justice. It looks so damn good in person. Rolling on the road looks even better.
  5. 2JZ powah!!!!
  6. I would so so so so love to own a 2JZ Supra with some huge f*** off figures. Must get life insurance first though. You must admit, even though we do have engines today with some good potential, the 2JZ and the RB26 is pretty damn good for an engine of their era when compared to current day engines. The 2JZ powered TRD Solara/Aurion still amazes me on how strong the block is. I saw this thing in person (same day/night as the video below) and was like WOW!: http://www.caradvice.com.au/13339/trd-aurion-pro-factory-xtreme-pro-fx-drag-car/
  7. Honda fanboys... good for LOL's. At the end of the day, when you ask a question like this on a vehicle specific forum, you are always going to have more people backing the forum brand. It's when you start putting sh** on the other guys just to back your own brand that things start getting stupid. Haters gon' hate. I particularly find this comment funny: Duh... seen how many Asians buy Honda's too?
  8. You should have gotten the instruction sheets with the intake. You can easily obtain them from the K&N website if you did some searching for yourself, but because I am feeling helpful just this time for you: http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/69-8611_inst.pdf
  9. If I was in the market for a Stivo, I would certainly pick one with a CES exhaust over a stock one. Less effort required. Besides, it's kind of an old car now. Would you really expect to get that much more for selling it with a stock exhaust over a CES.
  10. Oh man. That looks so painful mate. Hope it is a smooth process to get her back to her normal state.
  11. I smell a spambot coming along. alan123: I see your registered email address is a domain for an aftermarket auto store. If you make an attempt to advertise this, you won't be around for much longer. Just sayin' Edit: Ooops. Looks like you slipped already. Bye bye now.
  12. To get more induction noise. Did you make sure to reconnect everything... especially the MAF sensor before you started the car? Did you follow the instructions completely as well? If you follow the instructions in full, you should not get a Check Engine Light. On the odd occasion you do though, proceed to:
  13. No need to PM me of you're going to ask it in the thread here, or vice versa. Anyways to reset it disconnect your battery, pump the brakes a couple of times, reconnect the battery and start the car.
  14. Either is good for me. They both have pros and cons. On a realistic scale though, a turbo in my opinion rates higher because it just has more potential and more applications. But i just can't say no to supercharger whine. It's something you don't hear too often which makes it quite nice to have.
  15. Yes, still at the pool. As I mentioned in my PM, slim chance of another TRD turning up.
  16. As much as the idea sounded really good, I'm starting to think about whether I really want to go or not now. I have been doing some of my finances and really need to live on a uni student budget for the next few months if I want to have a good holiday in January.
  17. Should go for a run in the TRD sometime.
  18. If your car is over the line, after the light has physically turned red (which will be shown in the photo if you did get booked), they they have more than enough reason to fine you.
  19. Well that is their problem... not yours. Continuing to worry about that will eventually result in you speeding up to get out of their way and then making it your problem instead of their. Reversing back is not going to help the appeal. It's like getting a speeding ticket and saying that once you got caught, you slowed down to the speed limit again. As for using the excuse of someone being too close to your rear, the photos will judge that one, so your possibility of trying to use that excuse can vary. I wouldn't be getting your hopes up in trying to argue it. My advise if you get booked for it, learn from your mistakes, be responsible for your actions, and take the suspension or Good Driving Behaviour.
  20. Well, I usually get my stuff from Taringa anyways cause Dale is a top bloke, so I'll let you know if I ever need anything.
  21. A red light camera typically will not be activated until the light is physically red. Now as for the accuracy of that statement, I can't judge but if you can provide evidence of one (the one that got you) triggering before hand, then you may have something there. Just thought I'd mention that because they can simply use that statement to say that you crossed the line after the light turned red... which in that case you will find it extremely difficult to fight.
  22. There was a link above the photo which contains some more photos of the whole car both dropped on it's bags or sitting higher. I just put that one photo there cause I like that particular one. On a side note, one thing in particular that your post has reinforced is just how much this all comes down to personal tastes. Whilst one may find something to be badly executed in their eyes, someone else may see differently. Apart from those that blatantly f*** up the look of their car, everyone that modifies their car is going to have those that like and those that dislike. After all, what's the point being individual if you try to satisfy someone else's preferences.
  23. So wait a second.... which side are you truly on 'Beep Beep'? Your two sequential posts kind of in a way are on two sides of the fence. In your first one you appear to be putting all people with modified cars into the same category whereas in your second post, you seem to be alright with mods done cleanly. Out of curiosity, where would something like this be placed on your scale of approval? UltraLow Lexus IS350
  24. Seal - Crazy
  25. If you think that it's no good that not one of the 73 people that viewed the thread knows the answer, how about you ring Toyota and see if they even know?
