Lighter fuse Look at the fuse box inside the car. It is located behind the glovebox and is accessed from the passenger side footwell. All can be accessed with no tools at all. Let the pictures do the talking (sorry bout the dust, and ignore my footwell lighting): To remove that the panel in the second photo, you can see 4 clips at the front (bottom of photo). Use a little imagination there. If your finger is small enough, you press the clip in through the hole underneath. You should be able to figure it out when you get to it. The fuse/s you are interested in are labelled 'PWR OUTLET' and 'CIG'.

Spotted the mick.wheelz Yaris driving into Indro Central towards Chemist Warrhouse at 11:49am.

It's not unusual for the rubber gasket to stick to one side when you remove the plenum, so no need to panic. No gasket sealant is required as well due to the nature of the gasket itself.

Spotted that 'Northy' Aurion that everyone keeps spotting at 10:25pm on Gympie Road heading towards Chermside.

I was going to change my answer, and I will have to agree with you there. Although the part I hate the most is where Lutwyche Road ends and Gympie Road begins, up until the KFC. Bumps and potholes seem to be a common thing so I guess my hate for most roads like that is quite wide spread. But Gympie Road, all that never-ending roadwork means that you can't last one day with a clean car anymore.

Welcome to the forum. This is a situation where a search would have gotten you most of what you are looking for: Toyotalink Burning question!! As for changing the SIM card, this probably can be done, but you would most likely only be able to use it to receive calls since there is no dial-pad. On top of that, if the unit attempts to maintain communication with Toyota after you change the SIM card, these (call/data) fees would have to be covered by you.

I daresay it already does. +1 The Aurion is just too rounded.

Seems like we have more fuel for the following thread: Commodores with chevy badges !!?? Anyways, to add to the original question of the thread, as mentioned, it would probably be due to the lack of TRD's they see there and lack of knowledge on the specifics of the Aurion range.
-
Just to make it clear where I was coming from, when you said: or something with that effect It sounded more like you were using me as an example of a "protective TRD owner" rather than using it to complete your sentence. Combined with: Makes it look like my opinions have some bearing in the way people feel. But as I said, I never care what people do but if asked to express opinions, that is what I am going to do. Everyone can do what they want to their car (including putting TRD kits on), I just care more about image and don't like looking like a ricer.

Paramatta Road in Sydney was pretty shocking. Well for that matter, A LOT of roads in Sydney were.

Take a stab at me all you want mate, I honestly don't give a sh** what you do to your car. What does it matter to you if I think LED strips look tacky because it makes you another person trying to copy the trend that Audi started, or if TRD badges on a non-TRD puts you into the same category as Holdens with Chev badges? You ask for opinions, you get opinions. LOL, protective TRD owners. You have no idea how much I don't care.

^ Sigh. Those tail-lights were only on the car for a few days. I'm crying inside.
-
Now let's not play the blame game... 450HP/tonne was merely providing an ADR example to make his explanation clearer. The conversation started after you made the statement: But moving on... I reckon it will look tacky. Would have to be one or the other and if using multiple LED's, integrated into the existing lens. Otherwise it will fall into the same category as those that put SMD strips on the front of their car trying to copy Audi's. Saw a Commodore the other day that just had to take that one step further and line the whole lower grill. The car had a crappy grin. And once you see something like that, it's not hard to group everyone with LED strips stuck to the front of their car (non-factory) into the same group.

It appears you guys don't quite understand how glare from these headlights originates. I'm not really going to bother with this topic because I really don't have the patience (plus I am in the middle of whoop whoop right now and have limited resources) but some food for thought would be to do some research of your own. A good place to start is to Google "Camry squirrel spotters". At the end of the day, you can convince yourself all you want that you are putting off barely any glare, but you can't hide from the facts. The glare will be there regardless unless you intentionally modify the projectors or retrofit with proper ones. All this is completely irrelevant though because regardless of how good you feel about your HID setup (which if you just fit a HID kit; is like every other Aurion out there with a kit), the modification is still illegal. No amount of reasoning will make it less illegal.
-
Vijith555: True HID projectors are miles ahead in beam pattern and quality than a halogen projector. The difference in glare level is quite large too. Sorry to try and get you off your high horse, but at the end of the day, HID's in halogen projectors are not of a great standard. You are kidding yourself when you say your beam pattern looks like that of the first photo.

Brand new rotors should not require machining. If they do, you should not buy them. They will require bedding in, but that's another matter all together.

+1 Except I find that the vacuum din't particularly effective at picking it up on it's own. I usually have to pick it up by hand off the carpet. I've had the "it's just a car" statement before. Was not exactly pleased considering I had just spent ages cleaning it.

From the controls available to me, I can set restrictions that prevent users from posting unless they have a set post count. Unfortunately this is a blanket permission and it can not be limited to "new topics" only. If I did set it, it means that a member below 30 posts or whatever will not be able to post their interest in that thread. That said, they could PM the member, but not everyone thinks the same. The other thing is that even if you do make it a 30 post minimum, a new member wanting to flog their stuff will then simply go around the forums posting things like "nice ride" etc just to get their post count up. Unfortunately you can't really please everyone. This current method now seems to be working as I have caught a couple of noobs trying to sell their stuff, but it also fails a little because I have seen a member or two ignore the notification saying that their post has been submitted for approval and have then gone and posted the same topic a couple of times more. One way or another, cleaning has to be done. It will never be truly automated. But at least this way, it may make more work for us as moderators, but it keeps things nice and clean for you guys.

LED for low and high beam, advices
DJKOR replied to ben yip's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
DIY LED headlights are pretty much a pipe dream at the moment. Like dutchie has said, it would cost too much to make it yourself and it would probably work out less efficient than HID's. Those LED's on eBay are barely even efficient to use for your reverse lights. I use a pair like them (122 LED) for my fog lights and they are only good for DRL. I have torches that project more light than them. I put them into my (projector) headlights for a laugh, and laughing I did. -
What did you do to your car today?
DJKOR replied to JustinW's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
Didn't really do anything to my car today/tonight. Well I um... bedded in the tires more In other words, I went for a drive up Nebo. Using the abilities of RunKeeper, you can view my travel stats here: Up: http://runkeeper.com/user/DJKOR/activity/46622787 (missed the first 600m due to a 15 second counter on the start) Down: http://runkeeper.com/user/DJKOR/activity/46622790 Using external calculations, my time to Jolly's was about 10 minutes 37 seconds. This is 42 seconds slower than my best time but I was drivign slightly differently so this is no surprise. All I can say is that for $190 per tire, the Federal 595SS is certainly a good bang-for-your-buck tire. And a video of me driving slow for the fun of it:
