I did some quick searching and some mob out there had something like $2195. Don't know how old that price was though. Brutal. No where near. We just have driving roads that make full use of your brakes :P. It's no so much the "running out of brakes" that is the issue... it's the "I want to stop with more force" that is driving me. After feeling a Hybrid Camry with full regenerative braking plus standard brakes, I feel that the TRD could do with some more stopping power. I'm 83,000km on stock rotors by the way. Have to replace them real soon now though (down to 30.1mm now)... hence the additional research.

You sir are a genius. I think you are onto something here. Andrew357 has a Gen5.5 with the stock Aurion brakes fitted to his, so one would say it could go the other way around. I can show you a lot of reasons if you were here.

I kinda have to say... I'm not as impressed as I was hoping to be. -
So you are saying you would like to delete EVERY post you have made? Just need clarification because once if I do so, you won't be getting them back easily... unless it is an entire thread.
-
You can edit the post and remove the contents of it. Otherwise, PM a mod with what you want deleted. For example, a link to a post with the post number/s you want deleted. But since you are here, you can just tell us now.

There is a page 1 to this thread you know :P

What did you do to your car today?
DJKOR replied to JustinW's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
I'm not one for posting when I clean my car, but today has something to talk about apart from the typical clean. So today... after many many weeks of not having cleaned my car myself (more about that below), I finally took the effort to clean my car inside and out, and give her a wax. Also used up a can of degreaser and gave the engine bay a very thorough cleaning since it got rather dirty over the months of crap weather here. Now she is all pretty again. As it approaches the Annual Meet, the cleaner I make her now, the less effort that will be needed later. About having someone else clean it, over the last month or so, I have gotten pretty lazy/occupied and had resorted to having the good guys at Hoppy's wash and wax her for me. It sure is nice having someone else do the effort for you . However it also turned out to rather beneficial. See, a while back I had all these rather fine swirls on the paint which I was dreading having to remove before the National Meet. I was dreading it that much that I was considering having it professionally fixed. When I took it to Hoppy's and had them wax it, I commented on how shiny she looked and how slick she felt afterwards. I asked which wax they used and it was mentioned that the wax contains a fine cutting compound. I won't mention the brand here just in case. Anyways, I didn't think anything more about it. Then today when I was waxing her, I noticed that nearly all those swirls were gone. I thought I was seeing things. So yeah... long story short; WIN. On a side note, the more and more I use Bowden's Own wax, the more and more I love it. That wax is just great. Removal is by far the easiest I've come across. -
Oh boy, now you are really starting to get detailed here. I should establish a consultation fee from now on :P Note that both options are fused by the ACC fuse which is responsible for your power outlet. This means that whatever power consumption your parkers + DRL has, you must subtract this from 120W available from the power outlets combined. If using LED's for both the parkers and the DRL, then the power draw won't be much anyway. Should the ACC fuse, your DRL + parker combination will not operate, however your parkers will still function as normal though if your use the headlight switch on the steering column. The first option is all automatic and is on all the time. The second option however can be enabled or disabled accordingly. In option 2, if you don't want to rely on the ACC fuse, instead of connecting to 12(IO), you can connect to an alternative fused +12v source. The diodes are essential, as is connecting the external power on the right side, so as to not cause your tail lights to turn on at the same time. If you plan on running more than 12W per side, you can use '1N5404' diodes which will give you up to 36W per side which is more than enough. I wouldn't run more than 12W though personally. Option 1: Option 2:

Completely off-topic and of no help to the question, but ZOMG! Haven't heard from you in ages. Apart from that, I can tell you that the 2AZ-FE (as used in the Rav4s you are looking at) use a timing chain and are the same engine used in the Camry from the same era.

Should you find these... please, please, please let me know do I can get a set with you. -
Much like submitting a Request For Change to your head office, the poll gathered here was used for the previous moderating team to form their nominees. I understand that the final outcome is not a true reflection of the number of votes made here in this thread, however it is what was agreed upon amongst those who have been around the forum for quite some time.

Don't pay your forum fees? Are you actually referring to threads or posts... or do you really mean a forum you are hosting and trying to delete?

After many days (77 to be exact) of discussion, I would like to introduce you to some new members of the TOCAU Moderating Team. I know it has taken a while to reach this point... a length of time which could have been smaller, but it has been a bit of a busy time for everyone so my apologies about that. But lets not focus on the negatives because this post is about the positives. I know there are some of you out there who have been eagerly waiting for this announcement to come, so here goes. First up we have 'mick.wheelz' from QLD. This guy needs no introduction due to his presence on the forum so I'll leave it at that. Mick will be replacing 'Northy' who has moved on with the goal to disrupt the Earth's rotation with his V8. Next up we have 'Tash' and 'Kenshin X' from VIC. Tash and Duy will be taking over 'Blind Kid Seeks' position and we are confident that they will not let you down. And last but not least we have 'dutchie101' from SA. I feel glad to have Pete on-board with the team as not only has he proven to be a valueable member of the community, but he also fills in the gap in the mod community, where we previously had no-one from South Australia. Please be patient while your new mods get settled into their positions and before you know it, we shall be functioning like a well-oiled machine. So on behalf of the TOCAU Moderating Team, please join me in giving your new moderators a big warm welcome. ------------------------- And so we are all aware of the current TOCAU Mod Team and the distribution should you need to speak to someone local, this is how we currently stand: UK: Steve (Steve) - Please DND for general moderating issues. QLD: DJKOR (Daryl) SILVABULLIT (Brennden) mick.wheelz (Mick) NSW: M_M (Mish and Mark) xoom (Bill) VIC: Tash (Tash) Kenshin X (Duy) SA: dutchie101 (Pete) WA: Kenneth (Kenneth)

You should have used the same statement about Ford :P

LOLOLOLOL. I think I need to get more sleep these days Steven. Or I need to give up on the diet eating/exercising plan. When I PM'ed you, I made a mistake. I knew something looked fishy but it didn't click. The front rotors are the same size as a Corvette C5, and when I looked it up, I got the size of the rear rotors of the C5 which are 304.8mm. The front rotors are actually 325mm.

This is the mentality that I got from everyone that had one which is what created my dislike for it. When I first got it, I would have agreed but now, I tend to disagree. I use it quite a bit during the day and usually have it down to 30% by bed time, which is decent I would say. That said, my Android phone with moderate usage can make it to a few days before needing a charge. On a side note Ash, if anyone is in the market for Android, take a look at a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. I have some mates who agree with me on the faults of hte X10, and they say the Arc is a massive improvement.

Start by looking at my post in the following thread. Just ignore anything related to an Aurion... or an automatic. Drag Racing - First time at the drags

Once you root it, then the fun really begins. I recently flashed my X10 with the CyanogenMod and boy was it like a whole new makeover. Things run so smooth on it now that it makes me prefer Android again for productivity. The following benchmark gives an example... and nefore that, it was pretty much spot on with the SE X10 benchmark on the graph: Now that they have cracked the bootloader for this phone, things can only get better. When I have the time, I am going to start tweaking it more. Gotta love those out there that are generous enough to develop stuff like this. In terms of day to day use though, I still prefer my iPhone because of how fluid everything is.

The Galaxy gets rave reviews all the time and personally, I can see why. However I'm just not a fan of that OLED screen. Each to their own though. I think the best way to see what suits you best is to go to a few phone stores or find some mates with different phones. The one main drawback of most of the Android phones out there is the stuff the manufacturer adds on top of it. This can usually slow it down a bit and ruin the experience. Because of that, I will warn you to stay away from Sony Ericsson. They bloat theirs quite a bit. It was amazing how much more I got out of it when I flashed a custom firmware onto it. As for your last question, xda-developers is where it's at.
