Thanks DJKOR ! Looks like I have to order the custom made.... One more thing, do you know where to get the grille(black one - Most of you guys had one) ? Thanks ! I'll stand corrected. The seats in the Camry Sportivo are exactly the same front and rear. It's was only the lower grade Camry's that got the 60:40 split fold rear seats. As for the grill, it came from R-Style Racing in Thailand.

Andrew's Supercharged 2003 Camry V6 with bacon + egg, no sauce.
DJKOR replied to Andrew357's topic in Members Rides
That looks rather familiar... even if it isn't. <shakes fist> Curse you Andrew.... curse you. I need to get off my lazy a55 and get some coils. -
The part numbers vary slightly, but for the sake of the discussion, the Camry Sportivo front seats are identical to the Aurion Sportivo SX6 seats with the exception that the passenger seat is electric. The rear seats are different. Edit: Memory failed me. Been working all day up until 9:30pm. Rear seats in the Sportivo Camry are the same. No split fold for them.

Importing Scion TC's into Australia
DJKOR replied to Fc_2JZ's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
You guess you'll have to? Have you really thought about all this seriously? You must be made of money to consider this because even without enquiring, any person who puts some thought into this would know that it's not cheap to convert a car to RHD from LHD. -
Sure do. All sizes, shapes and flavours. :P So long as they are soft and chewy, and taste like Mrs. Fields or Titan Protein Cookies... then I'll join.

Importing Scion TC's into Australia
DJKOR replied to Fc_2JZ's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
Unless you live in the NT or WA, then good luck with that... as in it won't happen. -
We are not bickering about what is acceptable or not... at the end of the discussion it comes down to legality. It's either 35% or lighter to be legal, or get any darker than that and be illegal. Being a forum where sound advice should be provided, it would be stupid to provide advice saying that a darker tint is perfectly fine. As a result, you are going to get a lot of negative discussion towards getting a darker tint regardless of your own opinions and personal choices. This is to protect others from making stupid decisions that even though they had the choice at the very end, their opinions can be swayed by others. It's like saying that speeding is perfectly fine because you consider yourself a great driver. Fact of the matter is that regardless, speeding is illegal. Getting support from others saying that your idea of speeding is acceptable just spreads the ill advice to others that it is perfectly normal. I can't care what you do personally... just don't go trying to support an illegal modification through positive discussion.

Um... did you actually mean offset, or do you mean wheel/tire size? Also, you should mention which model Celica you are referring to as this can make a difference. On that topic of things, if you are referring to a ZZT Celica, that specified tire size is much to large for 18 inch wheels. For 18 inch wheels on a ZZT, you would need something like 225/35R18 or 235/35R18 depending on wheel width.

I doubt that if his source cable was mono, that this would cause the issue. A mono source cable is mostly just a balanced cable so when plugged into a stereo socket, you will get mono through both speakers.

Well, my apologies on making an assumption. A large percentage of p-platers that come into discussion are in fact young drivers hence the generalisation. Furthermore, when you mentioned things like 'pimp it out' and 'noisy mufflers', this was enough to fit everything together into that generalisation. Regardless, a dark tint does in fact make a difference to driver ability and there is a reason why they have set legal limits. At the end of the day, I'm not convincing your to go otherwise. It's your car, you money, your insurance at play here so you can do what you want.

Sorry if this seems stupid, but did you make sure you sanded the contact point down to the bare metal past all the paint/primer etc. A good solid connection is required to make it do it's job. As for the child restraint point, so long as that section is welded solidly to the rest of the car body it will be sufficient as a ground point.
-
Personally, being a good driver (on the road) would mean you would have a good clear view of the road with minimal obstruction. Not saying anything negative towards you, but hearing words like that coming from a P-plater doesn't give me lots of confidence if you were to drive around me. Anyone that thinks 20% tint or darker still provides decent visibility at night is kidding themselves and is irresponsible.

There are 3 cats in total. One on the front bank of 3 cylinders, one on the rear bank of three cylinders, and one underneath the firewall area before the hotdog resonator. If they really did remove a cat, they would have remve the last one in the line. It is a fairly free flowing cat as it is, so I don't see why they bothered to remove it. The general outcome from most people who removed their resonator was extra cabin noise in the form of drone. You also get a little raspieness, but it's not overly an issue under load. The following video is of Rowan's (ELEGNT) ex-Aurion with twin SuperCat mufflers at the rear and resonator removed:

The Official TOCAU ZRE Corolla FAQ
DJKOR replied to dwee.'s topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
The ZRE is 5x114.3. FAQ has been updated with that detail now. -
Your best bet is to PM Steve. If anyone is going to make a change like that to the site, only the Admins can do it. There are only two Admins... Steve and Northy. I'm sure Northy could do it, but I don;t know how the whole thing works whether Steve would have to approve it or if Northy can just go ahead and do it. But Northy isn't on here much anyways, so back to the first statement... kindly message Steve. OT: Pffft. Sif you'd use Photobucket. YouTube is where it's at

Sounds about the same as twin SuperCat mufflers. You never really get too much variation between different 'sports mufflers' with these cars until you start messing with the middle resonator and/or front y-pipe.

Yes, but you must start and stop it when you enter/leave the car, and if you want to control tracks you need to use the iPod itself. An aftermarrket iPod adaptor for the stock head unit will enable 'integration' where you can control it with the head unit/steering wheel controls, but an aftermarket head unit will be more cost efficient for integration as you also get the additional navigation features of the head unit.
-
It would probably be the most cost efficient option.

Same here though. But just because you haven't had any issues so far with the tint, doesn't mean that it's still okay. I have been RBT'd before and the Highway Partol officer did a loop around the car with a torch checking the tires. Luckily that's all he checked, but all he had to do was pay attention to the windows and that would have been it. On top of that, I'm not sure about you, but we occasionally get the odd defect station or two set up and if you are unlucky to drive through that, then you are stuffed. But it's not the defect fine etc that I would be worried about the most. Also think about your insurance. A 5% tint is obviously dark and just from looking at it you can tell that it's darker than the maximum legal of 35%. If you get into an accident, the insurance assessors can simply turn around and say your car is non-roadworth and therefore your insurance policy will not cover you. This can then potentially leave you a substantial amount out of pocket to have your car repaired.
-
You are more than welcome to watch and learn. You can ask questions along the way as well. That would be a defect waiting to happen, but if you think the benefit can outweigh the risk, then so be it. That's a little bit too much in my opinion.

The mention of where to get HID's is no doubt going to bring along a particular user here who is going to try to sell you some HID kits. If he does come along, just remember that the same kit can be purchased off eBay for a little cheaper depending on the exchange rate and that it's quality is no different to many other eBay kits out there. Anyways, for those I don't know, I don't usually accept help requests.... I choose who I decide to help. Just a note for those that choose to ask for assistance from me without even meeting me. On that topic of things, since your hints were subtle and well... a pavlova and some beer sounds good, I can help you out. I'd say that 1-1.5 hours is all that is needed to get the two items fitted. Can even be done at one of our weekly meets. On the topic of which one to get, I have mentioned in the past that a majority of eBay kits are pretty much the same in terms of quality. For example, the two you have shown are both types of kits I personally would consider getting. I would imagine that the quality between the two would be no different. The choice of which one you want to get would be up to you really.

That was some pretty good progress there mate. I'm surprised at how the old turbo actually made a difference when you look at the size of it. ... but ouch about the last post. Sorry about how that turned out. Just give it some time though.

how to Install the scuff plate with led
DJKOR replied to Aurion Shache's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
Any luck with what? Sourcing the sills? Making the sills? Or the wiring for it? 1) I never searched for them, 2) I never bothered finding someone to make some (needed a laser cutter) 3) Without having them, I didn't have the need to wire them up. I have footwell lights running off the dome light though. -
Whats this? (calling out aurion + camry experts)
DJKOR replied to private number's topic in Camry Club
I don't see why not. This is how the Aurion does it. All they have is that heatshield on top of the muffler body.
