Hey all I'm hearing a woo woo woo noise from the front wheels while they're rolling in a straight line and it's much more noticable at slower speeds. It's amplified under braking. Is this a standard wheel noise? I thought wheel noise is just a continuous sound. I was running K104's 225/35r18 on zero2 with no scrubbing etc and had been for 35k. I never used to hear it until last Wednesday when I rotated my rears with more tread to the front. I put on my spare stockie along with my brother's stivo spare both with full tread and the noise disappeared. Thought it was uneven tread wear, or that a wheel alignment was needed. But after a rotation from left to right and a wheel alignment the problem still existed. Due to 2 of the tyres being basically bald and the problem still persisting after the rotation of k104 and wheel alignment I changed them on the spot to FK-452 yesterday to be ready for the cruise on Sunday for the national meet. But they have the same noise now. Weird that it doesn't make the noise on the 16" and only started last week. It's also amplified under braking. If anyone has any info that'd be great. Don't think it's CV joint because it's not a knocking noise, or wheel bearings because there is no noise turning the rotor without the wheel on. Could it be the brakes? Just weird though because there is a noise without braking. And I don't think it's scrubbing because that would be a louder and different sound. Thanx Kenji

Lol I didn't pay much for mine the whole package came to $255 USD only $320 AUD. I'm just saying that getting the shift knob by itself might post a bit. Lol guni sure it's the leather wrapping. Surely it's got to be the massive left forearm you have not, it's too big and you don't want it to get any bigger

Yeah We'll cruise in together just turn into my estate from plenty rd. And the 600g gear knob is the Big type R one from TWM. Although if you're just buying the gearknob it might be alittle expensive lol. $116 USD for the knob and $47 USD for shipping.

The shifter cable bushings are the ones I'll be installing tomorrow. They're the two bronze bushings on the left of the top picture.

Got new tyres today. Falken FK-452 to replace my old and worn Hankook Ventus Sport K104. So much grippier. But it's so much noiser and due to being performance tyres the sidewalls are so stiff lol. Running 18's 225/35r18 on cusco zero2's really make the ride so much harsher now. But the grip in the wet is making me love them. Hey Dan, did you notice that the tyres are really noisy? Are you hearing a woo woo woo noise from them at all? Kenji

It's really nice and such faster shifts. I haven't done the shifter cable bushings yet. I'll do them tomorrow, but so far wow :D Just with the base bushings it's much more direct. I wonder if there'll be a noticable difference. Too dark to take photos so I'll get them up tomorrow sometime.

So say you get 17x7 kappa rims for $1050, you should only pay $1850 tops for some really nice rubber. Yokohama S.Drives Toyo T1R's Bridgestone Re001 Falken FK-452 This is assuming that the profile you'll be using is 215/45r17. I'm not sure if the new corollas have the same wheel size as the previous series. If they do and you don't require such a good tyre, then you'll be looking at even cheaper than $1850.

oh those rims. You don't like any aftermarket rims? Because they're much cheaper and are of either same quality or better.

What kappa rims are they? As many replica rims in 17x7 are roughly $200 per rim and you can get bridgestone re001 215/45r17 performance tyres also for $200 per tyre. $1600-$1700 installed and wheel alignment should be the mark you are looking at depending on the rim you get, the tyres shouldn't be more than $250ea.
