  1. Told me many stories about the 'awesome' drives with your camry, always talked good about every car and always had some positive to say as well.To this day, since my car has been turbocharged, Pete is the only person other than me that has driven it. I am glad that he was able to enjoy that moment and I will always remember his reaction and words when we hit boost, "Woah, that surprised me a little! :) "
  2. I have already expressed elsewhere, how much worse off the car scene/the world in general is now that Pete has passed. He was a true gentle giant, a gentleman and an all-round good bloke with a massive heart. He will be deeply missed by all of us, he always brought a smile and a laugh wherever he ventured. Gunna miss you buddy! :(
  3. Just go to an exhaust shop, maximum you should pay including tip is about $100-150, depending on which tip you choose.
  4. I completely forgot about this Kenshin, most people will be away for Christmas/Boxing Day related activities, so not even sure if the meet will go ahead.
  5. Yes, the ECU is behind the glovebox, I don't have and SXV20 wiring diagram, so can not help with ECU pin outs, wire colours are generally the same. When you do a continuity test from the coil to the ECU, there should be at least one corresponding wire that will buzz.
  6. Check continuity from the ECU to NO.2 coilpack feed.
  7. Could be a rock stuck somewhere.
  8. More than likely, it was post 2.5 months ago and the member has not returned since.
  9. They are all on the same fuse/circuit. It is very common for the fuse to blow.
  10. Globes don't cause cigarette lighters and head units to stop working.
  11. Oxy is a bad idea as the balancers normally have rubber in them. Those holes should have threads in them, worst case you may need to buy a large gear puller. You may also need to spray some INOX, RP7 or CRC on it to break any rust or corrosion. You could also use a freeze spray like CRC Freeze Off. That is a lot of money for those parts, are they genuine?
  12. Generally the oil pump is fine to be re-used, just replace the seals. Replacing the water pump is a good idea though.
  13. There are a number of seals behind the timing cover. You have the camshaft seal, crankshaft seal, oil pump, gasket and oil pump seal. They are all common failures, especially if the engine has quite a kilometres on it. Until you can get the covers off and clean it/diagnose it correctly it is hard to say which has failed. These seals can all be replaced with the engine in the vehicle, I would suggest buying a timing belt kit and all applicable seals for that side of the engine(including valve cover seal) since you will have it apart anyways.
  14. That's odd then, every other forum I use keeps me logged in and yes I have ticked keep me signed in. This only started happening when the forum went down.
  15. Starting to get very annoyed with having to log in every time I visit the site, this was not happening a few days ago.
  16. The bumpy ride is due to coilovers, they are much harsher than standard suspension setups.
  17. I had to buy shorter springs, they came with 200mm springs and I purchased 150mm springs from memory in order to get the desired height. As for the height difference, there has either been damage to the strut tops or they are fitted incorrectly/old components incorrectly removed.
