  1. It's not mine, it's a quote from Ascendant Rice's post. It will be noise only.
  2. Ahhh, so you have excessive crankcase pressure. Probably a good time to have a cylinder leak down test performed. I would be very surprised if the PCV is actually the problem. The old PCV would have been blocked up(or partially) over time, the new one obviously flows higher(as it should). Get a leakdown test done to rule out combustion gases making it into the crankcase.
  3. Why are you certain it has anything to do with the PCV? Almost every engine with a PCV will have oil in the intake. Have you considered the valve stem seals?
  4. Looks like a cheap Chinese turbo. Do as I said above, the guys know what they are talking about.
  5. Not ebay, if you are looking there, your aren't looking for the "best". Contact Sonic Performance/MTQ Engine systems.
  6. I would say that the timing belt is due every 150,000km, so it will likely be due again in in 10,000km.
  7. In that case, you should have expected to spend a decent amount of money on it.
  8. That's not that much really.
  9. It does (of sorts - this picture is also of a 2GR-FSE but same arrangement) I really should have elaborated further. It does not have traditional rockers.
  10. Sludge, balance shaft bearings and corrosion in the water jackets, that's about it.
  11. I don't think so without modification. The shape is also different, so dimensions may vary.
  12. The 2GR-FE does not have rockers. You may be lucky and it will go away with a thicker oil. It sounds like the VVT-i rattle, do a search for it.
  13. What exactly are you replacing?
  14. There is a VVT-i noise that occurs on start up, but disappears after a few seconds. I would doubt that is the case given your description though.
  15. If it has happened since the ant issue, it would be advisable to check all wiring whist wiggling the wiring harnesses.
  16. Can you provide a video or audio example of this noise? It may help with diagnosing the issue.
  17. Please turn your CAPS LOCK off, it is seen as yelling in a digital environment.
  18. Manufacturers make the rotors to factory specs if they are specified for that vehicle.
  19. Don't go replacing parts without diagnosing the issue correctly. It will turn it into a money pit.
  20. What did you check? Given what you have said above, I would suggest having a compression test and cylinder leak down test done.
  21. What is this thread for?
