  1. That cable is not designed for the current draw that a winch requires. It is designed for trailer lights only.

  8. They are standard width; however, there are differences in manufacturing tolerances and mounting angles of the socket.
  9. You could try and fade to the front,it may help you hear it better.
  10. I can't see it getting any easier to find parts, especially due to the age.
  11. Boiling water on the hoses with make them easier to push home.
  12. Overdrive, leave it on in most cases, it is basically another gear. It helps with fuel efficiency(lowering RPMs) and transmission life. It can be turned off to assist with steep hills.
  13. Hard to say without hearing/seeing it. Pull the starter off and see if the sound still exists.
