  1. Sludge from poor servicing. The valve cover can leak down to the sump flange.
  2. The only way you will get noticable gains in power is via forced induction as stated above. Any other methods will be wasting your money. You should change your timing belt. The early 5S-FEs were 100,000km intervals; however, I believe that the later models moved to 150,000km intervals. As for the leak, valve cover and distributor blanking plugs(early models had distributor) are common place to leak.
  3. It's a fairly well rounded suspension for a stock vehicle.
  4. I personally wouldn't use it in a diesel, as it may cause hydraulic lock in the cylinders.
  5. Consult an engineer to see what is required for you state regulations.
  6. Contact Pedders Suspension, Superpro, Whiteline or Nolathane.
  7. Replace is usually cheaper, however a secondhand gearbox has the same risk. Have it diagnosed more thoroughly.
  8. Nope, can be rebuilt, however may not be wallet friendly. The 2nd to 3rd(vice versa) change in a 5 speed is the one people get wrong the most, which usually results in higher wear.
  9. It sounds like the 2nd & 3rd gear synchro might be worn. How may KMs on it?
  10. Service intervals and requirements can be located near the front of your Service and Warranty booklet.
  11. You might have more luck with Supra specific forums.
  12. I believe they are a chain, not a belt.
  13. It would likely have to be custom made.
  14. They aren't one of the most popular vehicles on the forums.
  15. Less cost, same performance/filtration. No fully sick sound though.
