  1. You're not going to like this answer, but I think your best bet is to rip it out and put something aftermarket in. Toyota will try and charge a lot of money for the updated maps.
  2. Throw a search into the search bar, there is plenty of information on the forums already. Also, this thread is handy: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/19545-the-tocau-aurion-faq/
  3. Take it to a carpark and do some slow figure 8s.
  4. Advance past factory specs should be done whilst listening to knock diagnosis equipment, such as that used on a dyno.
  5. Check ball joints, rack ends, rack mounts/bushes
  6. If you mess it up, you could induce a knock, causing damage to your engine. Be careful if you attempt this.
  7. You have received a response here: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/52583-toyota-spacia-gxi-engine-problems/?p=556638
  8. I would think you will have a hard time getting anything covered by warranty. I wouldn't say it is a common issue. Being that are from the NT, isn't there an issue with carpets moulding due to humidity, hence most houses being tile floors? Possibly worth a read: http://ntnews.com.au/news/only-in-the-territory/culture-shock-for-driver-as-mould-takes-over/story-fnk2tg5d-1226812807005
  9. It may be worth trying to get your hands on an endoscope to look through the vents. They may have ingested some leaves or other debris that is staying wet and causing the mould. You can get ones that connect to a mobile phone now.
  10. The backlog is because Toyota can only produce a certain number of lines per period of time. There are probably millions of 2GR engines worldwide. There is a good chance that may not be able to obtain stock.
  11. You may have some better luck at: https://www.supraforums.com.au/ There are not a lot of Supra owners over here as they have their own dedicated forums.
  12. What's not to like about this? Forced induction this time?
