  1. Depending on which model you have, the drivers seat should just bolt/plug in and the passenger will likely need some wiring done, but will bolt in.
  2. It shouldn't be an issue at all.
  3. There would be, but you may need to be the pioneer on how to actually make it happen. I am yet to see it done; in fact, I think you are the first to address the issue.
  4. It is; however not visible on the mobile version of the site.
  5. Seems like it would work, just leave the speed sensor disconnected.
  6. It's not uncommon for vacuum lines to melt or become crushed. Try and get your hands on a vacuum gauge so that you can have an idea of how much it is pulling at different points. In most cases you will want somewhere in the range of 20-30 inHg. How does your brake pedal feel, is the booster still working fine?
  7. Australian laws currently do not dictate that Euro 6 is required. The 1st of July 2018 is the date that all new vehicles sold will need to comply. You shouldn't have to ditch the unit, but I believe that it will be the easiest/cheapest route in the long run. A little research before you purchased the vehicle would have shown that updates come at a cost and they are rather outdated. You may have to take up a fight with Toyota in order to get the result you want.
  8. You might get a better result by stating the model.
  9. Are you getting strong vacuum to the transfer case?
  10. Take it to another mechanic and have them inspect/diagnose it.
  11. Have a look around the http://www.newhilux.net/ forums. There will likely be more information on fitment there as they are a dedicated forum.
  12. You would be surprised how much fuel is left in the tank after the fuel light comes on. It is generally in the 10-15L range.
  13. I would start by getting the cooling system rebled. Did he perform a cylinder leakdown test?
  14. The bars are not a necessity, the are usually cut off for canopies to be fitted. There are usually 2 tubs; A Deck and J Deck. A Google image search should show the differences.
  15. Placebo at best. You are not going to improve your 1/4 mile times by changing 2 mufflers.
  16. Sounds like the auto electrician may have fed you some suspect information initially.
  17. Hopefully; for your sake, no further damaged is caused during that time.
  18. I would assume they are referring to the cabin air filter behind the glovebox as the receiver dryer in the engine bay can not be cleaned. There probably aren't any instructions on the removal process. Most most modern Toyota gloveboxes are easily removed by squeezing the sides in whilst pulling it open.
  19. I would advise taking it to a mechanic to correctly diagnose. That is not one of the common start up rattles.
