  1. Definetly get the clutch, the flywheel, i wouldnt bother, just get yours machined when they install the clutch. Don't forget STICKERS man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P
  2. Ive decided on Koni's, there was the option for bilstein blacks but they dont have them for the car, also i was told KYB is what we have in the sportivo's now, so koni's whiteline springs, all up installed $1380 not bad. Coilovers are for the track only so they would be a waste of money, something i would never use.
  3. Hmmm i dunno if its worth it, how much would these pricks charge for installation......it might be cheaper to get them installed.
  4. I can now get Koni's for $900, thats $250 each for the front and $200 each for the rear. I spoke do an Eibach rep, and he pretty much told me that stock absorbers on the car are fine as long as a replacing spring is harder than the stock spring. The reason.....the spring will support more load and there will be less rebound on the original shock since the spring is more compact and shorter. There should be no need to replace it...........however this guy didnt want to try and sell me anything so he didnt care about sales, he just gave me free info. Alot of guys recommending shocks do it for the purpose of sales, thats what pisses me off...i mean there are no friggen eibach shocks for my car...
  5. This is what i got back from Eibach Australia.....hmmm makes you wonder about donnellans. " Thank you for your enquiry regarding Eibach Suspension Technology. Springs to suit the Corolla Sportivo are in stock part number 10-85-012-02-22. Cost is $600 + freight. They offer approx 20mm lowering on the Sportivo model. Unfortunately we do not produce a Damper system for this vehicle however I would recommend either; Bilstein; $610 pair front and $460 pair rear. Stock is due in approx 8 weeks. Koni; $605 pair front and $500 pair rear. In stock. "
  6. I made a phone call this morning to enquire about eibach pro dampers, and i received a rather frightening response, lowering the car more than 30 mm is illegal and does not comply with aust insurance standards. I personally think its a load of crap. The guy said lowering it that low i would require custom made shocks. And these guys distribute koni and eibachs in Vic. Makes you wonder.
  7. Now thats would be awesome for 600 bucks, ill find out all the details.
  8. Thats quick.... we had 4 degrees yesterday morning in Melb.
  9. I will contact eibach myself and see what they say. The "bloke" at donellans stated that the difference between the koni and eibach pricing was due to the koni's being adjustable in their dampness. I'll keep you posted, these shockers could be the alternative to koni's keep you posted.
  10. Exactly my thoughts QSilver, 600 seems cheap. I think there could be a set lying around and these boys want to get rid of it. The front struts are 51mm I measured today. I got quoted on Koni adjustable by Repco...through whiteline mind you, and the fronts are $275 each while the rears are $240 each. Donnellans quoted me $690(for 2) for the fronts fitted and $540(for 2) for the rear fitted.
  11. Hehehe i know what you mean :) that was in the old car, those crazy days are over . Im getting the front strut brace for 70, its from a zz122 it should fit the 123R. Anyhow, does anyone know the Outside Diameter of the front strut?? Is it 45mm or 51mmm.Cheers guys.
  12. I have taken some measurements, the stock 05 sportivo has a gap of 70 mm from guard to tyre on the front and 80 mm on the back. Lowering it 40 mm would give you obviously 30 for the front and 40 for the back, perhaps lower after the springs set in, so being quoted for $280 for whiteline springs and $600 for eibach shockers installed, all up $880 installed, thats not a bad deal.....what do you guys reackon???
  13. Let me make it clearer to you boys, the Eibach shocks installed (back and front) on their own are $600. I f i wanted to lower the car with low kings the whole setup including the eibach shockers would cost me $950. I also asked about the Konis and he quoted me roughly $1100 for the koni's(front and rear) with low kings springs.
  14. Just drive the auto like its a manual, by shifting up and down, then you can have Blue Interiour Neons and LED"s and a tiptronic gearbox
  15. I got quoted 950 with low kings, and when i asked for the springs themselves they told me 600 fitted. Thats for front and back.
  16. I was ringing around, i received a quote for $600 including fitting, eibach shocks. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them. Cheers.
  17. Is that for the whole unit including the pipe????or just the AFM section?
  18. Nope, still camera shy my new car :). I gotta wash her already crapy rain in melbourne.
  19. I hit lift today in the new model, the transition after 6200rpm is very smooth compared to the old car, and it seems to pull harder, landed 1st to 2nd at 6500.wohooo havent done that for a while, a slight chirp and i was away. This 05 model stock feels quicker than the old one with CAI. Might go calder friday night to test out the car in stock form. Now i gotta find a helmet.
  20. my old man's got a sheap load of stainless steel piping at work, maybe a tad heavier than alluminium but it will never rust and keeps alot cooler than alluminium, so i think im going for a custom made one. Ill make it a project to see how it works, i mean its too easy to get a trd or aem one , I wanna make some custom stuff, see how it turns out.
