  1. brilliant work! did the same thing but had a old school camry i got with some mates for 1k, went drifiting on his farm and what, happen to knock over some bananna trees.... but ended it when someone had to try and do a burnout and completely ruined the gearbox i think. love the picture when it got stock in the wedge.
  2. been trying to save money for the last 6 weeks, but stuff keeps happening (birthdays, early christmas, "lets join money and get dad a present, oh wait, you gotta pay 1/2 cause you work), im the only one that works out of the 3 siblings, im the middle one and its always "maccas run?" cause im the only one that drives. burning money, petrol and everything. a taxi for my brothers. but i still allocate 20% of money to a special tin box. calculate weekly usage and write it on a piece of paper, thats kinda working for me...
  3. Im still laughing at this, its like thoes guys with $70 fusions pumping bass (with alot of clipping) and saying my car is a piece of Sh*t, HILARIOUS! well the exterior is.

  5. at jaycar they have a circuit breaker, its like like $30-50, it goes into your power line. so once you stop your car just hit the off button (cuts off the red wire to your amp). i paid 400~ for my fuse thingy from monster cables, i think its worth it cause my system is getting a huge upgrade once i jump into my new car. Was bending to a astra (i now its a holden, and supra's trunk is not great for audio system, spare tyre holder is in the way) 2x60amp 1x120amps + Voltage Display 2x60amp + Voltage Display Voltmeter is useful to find out miss fire of spark plugs Thats my solution but if you find it to be the remote, you saved 30-50 dollars, you can mount it inside the cabin and just use it as a switch and keep the fuse under the bonnet.
  6. I think its funny how the banner has the stig on it and top gear used fake ferrari mr2 thingys in their stunt in that event
  7. hehe everytime i pass elegnt i keep forgetting to punch the horn, use to waving cause my horn sounds like a squashed mouse hehe
  8. nice gear, wish i had the same system (but since mine is a 2 door, i would boost the fronts speakers up, type x pros is a big difference from refs) but waiting on the MRP-M2000 to come out in australia (import is a tad risky). dont forget to get a awesome sub (cant live without mine - BTW i listen to post hardcore music not doof doof). Good luck with you job and keep it posted. Remember bubbles in fibre glass layers is hell when you wanna sand it smooth (only did 2 layers instead of 5~).
  9. if its cheap, its a burn out car for me *on watch*
  10. the funnies one i did was putting a smog machine under the bonnet, and turned it on when at a red light and people would say "OH DAMN! YOUR CAR IS ON FIRE!" also did that in the back seat and trunk, holarious, gonna put on in my new car (see if woofers push the smog, never tried)
  11. oh sweet, 4k going that way hehe Epic body scrape!
  12. I see a fair bit of cars with airbags when i dropped by the boost meet at logan (i liked the HIACE with airbags hehehe) i was just wonder if it is legal if you get mod plates and everything (theres a place on the coast that does installations and stuff) and ive seen alot of QLD cars that have airbags and is registered at auto salon and car DVDs. Ive had a look at legilsations and stuff and i only saw that 10cm from lowest point legislation and searched the net and only saw stuff from vic and NSW. Just seeing my options (kinda sick of scraping my car paseo on speed bumps). One more thing, coilovers, do you have to replace the springs every 75000km or something? they are tein coilovers
  13. if i had the money... Ae86 Low KM insane for a car that old. but i find there is alot of cheap 180sx that is decent to drift with even if its bone stock IMO i know its a nissian.
  14. im still trying to rock up to one, just been kept up with the grave yard shift at work. it really sucks.... maybe next week
  15. at least he didnt ask to pop your trunk~ badaboom tish! *Cough Cough* i have a plastic bag in my rear seat (for rubbish so its not all over the floor) and black material in the side pockets of the rear seats which contain screwdriver, electrical tape and other stuff i use when i fix my audio, they asked me what you got there and whats that, someone was really thorough~ kinda scared that they will ask what the hammer was for (im paranoid that if i fall in a river, i can use it to break the windows).
  16. my computer broke so it double posted.
  17. my forum name "Eargunk" was by my brother when i had ear aches and was doing what i can do to stop it, when he walked passsed me when i was going at it, he said "have a smell of your eargunk, it smells funny". It was unique and funny so i stuck with it. and my plates was because no one would lend me their credit card for a 2k purchase, but my dad let me use it for the 500 purchase
  18. i would go for single din IMO, you dont get that regret feeling when you buy a single din car and you own a 2k double din. bad luck to my audio brother. and a single din hides well.
  19. first car i owned is my current one (having problems, stalls for some reason when i slow down heaps and its auto, gotta fix it up soon) a paseo, wish i had a bigger car though (purposely slam the accelerator over spead bumps to flick the back tyres up and smash the rear passanger's heads), when i got it, it drove sweet, costed little and ran nicely, had some problems like shockies were gone and a whole bunch of tiny stuff like gromets, the rubber thingys over steering column and stuff which made me work hard to get it road worthy. but my first car i drove was pulsar SSS, mmm that was quick, nitros quick. and neons do serve a purpose, i use it for hazard signs cause mines a million colour set (flashes yellow in sync with my hazard lights hehe), still gotta hook it up to my indicators so the sides flash (its legal cause i used my law abilities to make it magic)
  20. looking at your P plate, it looks alright IMO, ive seen some dodge plates (some drawn on a piece of lined paper and some fadded till its a white piece of plastic). However i get pulled over so much its not funny anymore, and the tail gating isnt helping with "boom" cars up my backside (maybe its my plates) i think the plates are just universal targets. I have been cursed at by police officers several times, similar situation where there were no warning lights or signs set up (looked like a tree lopper's cones) and the police cars on the side street (out of view). They picked at everything in my car "what is that switch, thats illegal~." I came prepared with my law books and KAPOW! out of a ticket but burnt up 2 hours of my partying time. yesterday, my friend was getting harassed by a riced up lancer (green P= 18~ age) so the next lights i jumped out and said "are you harrassing my girlfriend" with my hand in my pocket for some reason (wielding my danger phone!), he replied "we were just having a bit of fun" and drove away with my friend cursing her head off at em. Hilarious!
  21. from what i seen, i havent found one that isnt turbo, my car is falling apart atm and i might wait till it completely blows up (try and fix what i can), or buy it as a build up car and dont tell my parents how fast it goes ( i just like the looks and how much room it has in the trunk and back seats and the ocassional msssshh not much into power).
  22. I was just wondering, im still on my P plates, if it is possible to buy a TT aristo and de turbo it (it would be nice if you could describe how to do it in a light way and whether to do it yourself or get a certified guy to do it). and if anyone can describe the ups and downs of this car.
  23. I have still 3 large boxes of dynamatt (9 sheets or so per box) lying on my bedroom floor, havent had the time to strip the car and prep it. if there is air between the layer its not quite effective. I might use this tar for the floors. sounds like it saves alot of money.
  24. if you do work with fibre glass, i did pods, werent that great cause i just wanted to house the speakers only but it does the job (didnt round the edges off to look neat). i kinda regret not having covers for em cause they stick out and the left one has gone cause people kick it, 500$ down the drain there. Another option is kick panel pods they sell em for most cars and make sure you have covers for them.
  25. A whole bunch of people got swine flu in forest lake, all thoes kiddies that went on the china trip. i had it for 6 days, i think it is swine flu or broncosis.
