very clean install. im just a tad concerned with the speaker wire contacting the power wires. i got a mate that got pretty bad white noise cause of that. Im just waiting for the Mrp-m2000 from alpine now. trying to go SPL & SQ

i was kinda unsure (i still dont have internet till September, they keep lying to me) i was thinking more of a lcd tv and what not, fibreglass and still want to compete in SQ comps. they have flat doors which makes it easier to mount the 8 inches and a wide dashboard to put the tweeter and the 4 and 6 inch.

Im planning to buy a HIACE and i was wondering if anyone has seen a SQ van before or if its possible when you mount the woofers facing the rear towards the back of the van? or where would it should be mounted. The woofers are either going to be 6 type r 12" alpines or 2 12" IDMAX image dynamics

i went to a SQ comp recently and looked at most of the car audio specs in the pros, most of them had IDmax 10inch (even though they are for spl, in a sealed box they are tight but still punches a boom, good thing they can come with a chrome basket for another $100) i also saw focal fronts ran by orion amps with the alpine head units and the h701 processor unit. since the h701 is out of date h100 does a similar job). Sq isnt just what you have for gear it is also how you set up as well. but the set up you got looks very nice just dont forget to sound proof and get speaker defusers (they make a big difference)

I just recently went to the MIE comp at northfield on saturday, most of the SQ novice guys ran Image dynamic subs and a fair bit of pros ran em too. IMO i think northfield is trying to push em hehehe. good savings though but most of the cars is installed by northfield, kinda made a bias decision for my mate from something tech.

ill come to a meet this thursday, just been busy with the new house and having no internet kinda sucks. just pray it doesnt rain, i hate that train place. Friend dragged me to the boost cruising one. Kinda red neck IMO, burn outs on the road.... best one was a lanos red p plates out of 200sx, 180s and skylines.

i really regret not having internet now. could have spent my money on a new head unit and amp but spent it on a new tv... oh well what ya gonna do. and guess who saw elegent doing a bad thing infront of my house when i was doing 360s in a dingo hehe. i might turn up if i get out of work that is.

i had a similar problem, it had a funny smell and heavy smoke came out, wasnt black but it was white and came out like a fog machine and drooped to the ground. scared the bones out of my skin

if you do get a subwoofer from alpine i suggest the type x for SQ, i have 2 type r's and they are pretty much spl, the advatanges of getting a type x is that you get clear bass whether it is at low or high volume, i get clear bass when i get about 20% of volume. With subwoofer size, the smaller it is the smaller the range is however the faster the bass would respond for example the 10" gets low to 26hz when the 12" gets 24hz however the delay on the 10" (without tuning) could be micro seconds faster (in extreme low tones) than the 12" if you do want to save money and boost for better fronts, rears arn't required. rears are just for the back seat passangers (however this nullifies the use of the imprint microphone system as it requires all 4 speakers). This can be seen in may SQ cars or sexy spec cars as the display of rears looks funny if it isnt done right. Sorry for the late submission but thats my opinion (i have no internet at my new place for a while) one more thing, the PXA (imprint box thingy) is worth getting, opens your option to fine tune and set delays to each speaker and set gain for each Hz range.

agree, i am currently running 300 rms to my fronts which is rated at 90, i just turn down the gain extremely low and made sure it didnt clip through using a voltmeter and what not. time consuming but its worth it IMO

i might actually get a tv box, sick of playing on the TV which is dark as, cant see anything and would be cheaper to replace if i smash it. Accidently gave a blow to my friend, shes paranoid when i play mad world hehehe. should really mark a safety circle on the ground hehe.

i just got some questions about the WII, is there an adaptor to hook it up to the pc monitor like the Xbox 360 and where can i get it. and my last question is, what are the chances of it going through a wall. diamond tethers! and black eyes!

with alpine stuff, you would really want to know someone that sells that product and you get a good deal out of it. My sound stage is almost perfect, just need to dynamatt the plastics in my car and its all good. either know someone or do what i use to do, we had a jb hifi & northfield across from each other at mt gravatt and just kept walking cross the street comparing. Ebay is pretty bad, some are possible fakes and immitations like the "NEW TYPE L" which was type E with the paint removed to shape an L. the alpine remotes are huge! and IMO having the stock small one (its got play pause next volume up etc. the important stuff) is much more efficient. I borrowed my friend's bluetooth & remote, after 10 minutes of use, i kinda went back to the basic one With the imprint box thingy, make sure you change the bottom of the head unit or at volume 1 it would be loud as. the downside i believe in having the imprint thing is settting up the sound stage with the mic, its 5-10minutes per spot and there is 6 spots and everything must be quiet when you do it (someone started a mower and i had to start over) and when you wanna change to your custom eq with my head unit. had to turn off a setting called define or something, i cant remember, if i didnt the fronts would be only in use and the subwoofer couldn't be heard. i also think the ipod cable comes with the HU but the USB extender doesn't unles they are nice and give you it (saves you $5) Sweet audio set up though.

after reading up on that woofer and amp, i think i might stick to sq subs, found out they drain power like crazy and is possible to do panel damage, bits falling off and what not. the box is huge as as well so i dont think its worth it....

Looks excellent (the sound stream xxx) but how would you run an amp at 16v? a High output alternator? im too young for a house deposit (cant do the weekly payments and parents said, when your young, do waht ever you want, go out party and what not, when your old you got commitments) i got 1.5 years to stuff around then its a full time job (cause i study full time and part time job) 15k thats like a riced up car there hehe. might have to get springs with the weight of the woofer. The 18inch xxx is 1.8k from ryda, free shipping! and the amp is order in for 3k 10,000D, looks pretty sweet i can say field trip to sydney! Wait! its free shipping! warrenty is going to be a pain the rear. Unless anyone knows if jb hifi or wow sight and sound stocks soundstream products? cause i might compare them with ryda if i do get it, could i just run it off its own battery (saves me from getting a larger alternator)?

I just got a couple of questions with this battery. -Do i need to change the stock altenator to run this in my car (to recharge it whilst able to drive around so i never have to use a battery charger). -What voltage will it run without car engine on when its fully charged -Or anything i need to know before i buy this battery or recommend another battery for a similar price -Also any recommendations of where to get it or should i get it through car specialist places (northfield hehe) If i do get a battery charger, might get a MULTI XS 25000 cause it can be used as a power source (for when i wreck my car and audio goes in the house)
