Yes it is stupid to run, yes it is stupid to even be in the situation where you would consider running... no I don't condone that activity...

As for some of you though, my view still holds. Trying to justify avoidance of the crush penalty - and i emphasise that i still don't approve of it per se - is simply deplorable.

Yeah yeah, I realise that...and apologise if he thought I was taking a crack. But now that you've said it again, I still get the impression that you are saying not to introduce that penalty on the basis that people may be more likely to start police chases... which is something straight out of pandora's box...

It's a genuine concern. I know tonnes of people that wouldn't think twice about running from the cops to keep their car intact.

my g/f's dad is pretty high up within the AFP and the stories they go on about and what they do to have a laugh is really annoying and makes me want to hit him. coming from a 'high performance' car owner's point of view, its really unfair.

Pandora's box.... mythology involving said box having the lid lifted on it and, 'lo and behold, chaos is unleased.

What is meant by that analogy here is that if the crush penalty is imposed, people are potentially going to 'encouraged' to run from police.

On the other hand, if it is not implemented for fear of that happening, you would also have to say no to police chases in all forms... which to me, is the greater chaos escaping from the box...
