anyways thinkin of buyin parts straight from japan and woderin if the sportivo has another name..

is it the corolla runx?

does anyone think its worth it?

i believe the 'runx' title is just the name for the hatchback version of a corolla.

i equivalent of a corolla sportivo here would be the runx z-aerotourer..?

Yah, Scarboro & Melville Toyota are TRD dealers in Perth. Banbury Toyota also...

Runx = Corolla Sportivo

Allex = Hatch (1zz)

Fielder = Wagon

Axio = Sedan

Straight from Japan can be costly and timely.

What are you after?

or T-Sport if you want something from Europe ....

regarding buying stuff from overseas ..... yeah ive pretty much bought all my parts from Japan, USA & Europe.

the only thing i would suggest is you start small .... like get a thermostat or stickers or something that isnt to much money just so you can see what the service is like from the place you are going to buy it from before u go nuts and buy something major and get really disappointed ...... i found this method filtered out the crap shops from the good ones .... yes it did waste some dollars & some time along the way but better to waste a few $$$'s than to throw a large sum of $$$'s down the drain

im still a bit confused bout the japanese names...

didnt toyota make fielders (wagons) with sportivo engines? would that then be named fielder runx or fielder aerotourer???

ive seen pics of allex and runx hatches and they look the same (besides the emblem)..

and since they made 2zz fielders, did they make a sedan with lift too?

The proper name in south africa is

Toyota RUNX RSI

Sure did. Fielder Aerotourer Z had the 2ZZ-GE motor. The rest had either the 1ZZ or 1NZ, however with the option of 4WD.

They never made the sedan with the 2ZZ-GE in Japan. The American market adopted it though. The Japanese however get a 4WD version.

Toyota RUNX 180 RSI

Fixed.

completely untrue, fits perfectly, thousands of members have it on their car.

CAI comes from US, tower bar and short shift come from Japan

not all allex are 1zz.

My Allex is 2zz and the only difefernce between that and the JDM runx is the chrome detailing on the exterior. (chrome on door handles, chrome on trunk handle etc) the interior and the dash remains the same.

That's right, but in Europe the TS (2zz-ge) has 192hp........you have to check if your engines have the same engine codes and the same parts.
