Guys/Gals and peekay :P

I had some spare time today so I decided to clean the look of the calipers. Which were already painted red.

I ended up cleaning all of the paint of the pads clips etc and repainted the calipers porpelry rather than just covering the rotor and spraying everthing i could see :D and resprayed the clips.

I think the new look is a bit more refined. and obviously alot more time consuming.

Did you paint the hubs? They look pretty crappy unpainted and does make a big difference to the look of your wheels. Have a look at pics of my car. Think it adds that finished touch.

bullet,

yeah mate I though about that but I dont think the red hub looks good!? IMHO

I think that when I finally upgrade the rotors (DBA Slotted) I will paint the hubs black. so that they dont take away from the mag wheels and the rotors ;)

But they do look scmik on yer car brenden B)

I spoke to DBA Melbourne a while ago they have disks for the Rolla which they can slot. Just need to be ordered.

What about painting the hubs in a universal type silver to match your wheel? Black can tend to look a bit factory boring if you what I mean. My opinion on the matter.

Planning to do mine this weekend.

I'm going to be different and go for Yellow.

I think it'll look hot against the silver duco

You took the words right out from my mouth. I want to paint mine yellow as well. Not really sure how that will go with my white car but red is just too common and predictable.

Are you planning to take the calipers off to paint them?

Yeah, Red does look good but just too common now. I've seen the yellow on Porsche's and I love the look.

No I'm just going to tape off and cover all the bits I don't want painted.

I might start tonight because I don't have any stands so it's going to be a slow process doing corner at a time.

im pretty sure that they are the same size as stock but apparently they may have a bigger caliper available soon????!!!!(not too sure though....yet)

I thought Dave's got DBA slotted discs on his Stivo?

Yeah i do Zee but there for a celica and had to be drilled, as far as i know dba dont list them for the sportivo so ya have to do it the hard way

I think PBR do slotted ones.

My painting is post-poned (my brother is borrowing my car next few days) so you have to wait a little longer to see what the Yellow looks like E-gene
