Hey guys

Big thanks to all who came for a great day. We have agreed to make this a six monthly event in which CES have obliged to let us use their facilities again. A big thank you to Trevor and Leslie from CES for the great food and drink, use of facilities(dyno etc) and Trevor answering all the technical questions thrown at him!

Shao's pics are great(specially of the silver car!!) and i will be getting a disk of some more pics on Tuesday from Jamie (J&J Industries) who judged the show and shine. Thanks to him and Troy from RBT for doing the judging for us as well. Appreciation goes to RBT for donating the trophies and Autobarn Logan City and JB hi fi Kedron for donating prizes as well. Dyno Results

Northy(Ascent sports) 86kw ATW

Hames(Sportivo) 104.5kw ATW

Kyle(Sportivo) 105kw ATW

Silvabullit(Sportivo) 105kw ATW

Shaohaok(Sportivo) 112kw ATW

Danthuyer(Sportivo) 117kw ATW

We also had 2 other cars participate-

2.7 Hilux 75kw ATW

2000 Honda Accord 2.3 manual 82.5kw ATW

We also had some fun testing noise levels at peak power on the dyno, measuring exhaust levels and intake levels. Kyles car took the honours of being the loudest at 122db with most of the others ranging from 105db to about 115db. Some one was talking about posting graphs(I think cause I'm not sure how to!) and you will see that all the Sportivo's have similar graphs with the main difference in power varying from about 4000rpm through to lift and then to redline. Most of the difference can be seen when lift is hit and according to mods done as to how steep the graph jumps up to peak power. It was a really good comparison to have all the cars on the same dyno on the same day and compare results and how certain mods made power in different ways.

So if you missed out this time then bad luck but about May/June next year we will have it again so start planning to come and participate on the dyno and in the show and shine.

Again a big thanks to all the sponsors and to those who attended and helped out during the day.

cheers SILVABULLIT :D

Good dyno results, really interesting to see the 1ZZFEs not that far behind the 2ZZGEs. The Stivos with 104,105kw atw and have already been modified with CAI and exhaust. A stock Stivo probably pull 95kw atw. But Northy's 86kw is with mods so its really interesting.

Hames'car is stock! Very freakish to have 104.5kw. Kyle's has TRD CAI and exhaust, and aftermarket clutch. My car has CES exhaust and K&N panel filter and nothing else. When my car was stock it had 96kw atw so you're right in saying about 95kw at the wheels for a stocky. But Hames' car has us all puzzled? He's thinking of selling it but after the dyno he may have changed his mind!!!

My Stivo is completely stock with approx 105kw atw.

Same......i've gotten 105.3kw atw completly stock and in shootout mode :D :D

but before we start the dyno debate from scratch again the results will vary from dyno to dyno.

But it still doesnt explain the results Hames got as he's managed to get about 9kw more than the rest on the same dyno from a standard car :blink::blink: Maybe they fitted an Apexi power fc when they did the ecu recall :lol::lol:

U sure boys its all stock he could be pulling the wool over your eye's :P :P :P

cheers

Bill

I wanna see the graphs of before exhuast and after, showing power and torque. Nice to hear you guys had fun... but lets see the real stuff.. in other words lets see the evidence of why we should get this exhaust system!

Cheers

Me too!

Please, post before/after dynos.

Good to see some one who actually reads all the info zee and doesn't pick and choose words to make a sentence! I have the mentioned items in my posession and just need the time when my wife doesn't want to use the car and i'm available to put them on. Mod to cai is still up in the air at the moment as I will be calling on some specialist help. I'll post some pics when it's finished and on the car though.

As for the dyno sheets calling on you computer heads in Brisbane to do that for me as I'm a novice when it comes to computers. Ask me to present a car for a show? Too easy. How many trophies do you want to go home with? As for posting pictures - how many stuff up do you want!!!!!
