so i put a set of coilovers in and yes they are the ones that shall remain nameless that start with D and end in 2

when i went to get a wheel alignment the guy at bob jane said that my steering was off. what happens is that when i turn the corner and let go of the steering wheel it would usually correct itself but it keeps going on that same angle and does not straighten up naturally

anyone got any suggestions

it didnt with the stock setup and the guy said i should get it checked out cause thats not to be whats normal for them

Probably has something to do with the coil overs and the new angle the wheels sit at...

If the car still drives straight and all the wheel alignment figures are correct then it's not really something to worry about... Keep your hands on the wheel at all times and you'll have no problems :P ...

they adjusted all the steering to straight but the steering wheel it doesnt straighten up to centre after a corner :(

mine is exactly the same. Had them for a while now, 2nd hand. But I kinda don't think about it anymore. It used to bug me at first but not anymore.

Perhaps it's the oil in the struts itself. Perhaps it's too thick, so slower rebound?

do you have a before and after castor reading? That's most likely what is causing your issues.

Sounds like to me you should take it somebody who knows how to do a good wheel alignment...

Go see Fulcrum and get it done properly. But you might have to settle for less camber or castor...

Get an alignment at a decent specialist and get a printout.

WHY OH WHY do people just buy cheap rubbish coilovers???????????? Shocks are probably THE MOST IMPORTANT part of a car (maybe tyres). I don't understand why PPL skimp out on em. U'd have a WAY safer, WAY better handling, WAY more comfortable car with just King Springs and Bilstein B8 shocks for a similar price.

did u pay 450 including install and alignment for lower springs and blistein shocks, :P

The OP isn't lucky enough to have a Fulcrum nearby. Lucky for us though living in Queensland.

+1 caster. could have messed up how far forward one wheel is compared to the other. which is another term. but meh.

ok so i went to my mechanic and he said it might be to do with camber settings and/or front swaybar tension eg too much

Sorry i didnt see your post earlier.

I had the same thing and the guy that did the alignment said that because of the castor/camber when you let go of the wheel it wont flick back into the centre as it did on the stock setup. I dont know the technical terms for it

At first this was annoying but you get used to it as time goes on.

Did you fix the knocking noise?
