[NSW] Dyno day and cruise

Recommended Posts

Never done one before but thought it would be fun to try out.

Just to get a show of hands who would be interesting in a dyno and cruise day? :yahoo:

I would have to do some calls to organisine a booking once we got some numbers

Oh yeah if you got a stock car dont think you guys cant come along

UPDATE: Found two good places-

*SAS (common dyno place for toymods)

*http://www.justenginemanagement.com/ Normally around $60 to $80 to do a run. (highly recommended from mates and my boss, the guys here know their stuff)

yeah id be in for that, long as the dyno guys set their stuff up right

cos look what a guy in newcastle thought my car made

i mean i know its old but still...

Mainline dyno in 4th gear, doesn't surprise me at all.

Both times I've run my car on a Mainline, the results have been way worse than what should have been expected, the last time almost 40% down.

I'm interested, but I really don't think you'll get the numbers.

Not trying to discourage you or anything...

But I'm interested to see if I made any more power up top with my current setup...

thats cool...Ive done nothing to my car but thought it would be interesting to see how many kw weaker the car is now. :)

you'd have to pick a good person who knows how to use a dyno before i go.. dont want any dodgy numbers with my hard earned $$

I've always trusted SAS (where the biannual Toymods Dyno Days are), nice and central in Sydney too although doesn't equate to much of a cruise from Homebush :P

Toymods is this sunday.

I would be keen depending on date.... Wouldnt mind getting the Cappuccino back on a dyno and take the award for the lowest power :toast::lol:

i recon i could beat u at that lol

I don't know what you guys are on about, that looks right to me? My rebuilt 7A made 55kw at the wheels.... what were you expecting?

Which dyno was that on? Mine has 71kw at SAS (Dyno Dynamics) with just exhaust and intake, and it did that twice with 6 months gap in between, with other cars on both days pulling expected numbers too.

Wollongong Motorsport Centre (now closed), 2WD Dyno Dynamics. Nothing to compare it to because I only ran it once for fun. 2" press bent catback was the only "mod" (I use the term loosely because realistically it only made noise  )
