Hey guys,

Only new to this forum and have already learnt alot!

Here is my 04 Sportivo.

Mods

-35% front, 20% rear tints

-Sports grill

-Advanti MazeR 17" (pretty happy with the offset on the fronts, sits flush with the guards but rear offset is weak :()

-2.25" Stainless Steel Catback

-Sportivo rear lip

About the roof racks, I'm really into mountainbiking so its abit of function over form. It'll look alot better when my Thule fairing arrives!

Here are some pics!

Looking at doing something with the intake, the stock intake looks really restrictive.

Thanks mate, I'll get a photo for you after the weekend! You cant really notice the difference in the tinting which worked out pretty good.

You can't really notice it unless you're really looking for it. Its not very noticeable from the inside too, but night time visibility is alot better!

Also my fairing arrived! Only took 30mins to install, I'll get better pics soon.

Nice bike too, is that a Specialised or a Giant?

The bike is a 09 Giant Trance X3, but nothing stock left on it except forks and shock.

thanks for the pics,

I'm probably gonna do the same as you for the tint... this way I'm less susceptible to being fined.

you're kinda lucky, it's easier to keep a white stivo clean than a black one...

and your car paint looks pristine [thumbs up]

Chrono.

Hehe yeah, thats the same reason I got different tint %, previous owner had really dark tinting and it was hard to drive at night without the front windows down. I was going to replace all the tint but some of my friends suggested just do the front and see how you like it.

My car has always just been cleaned before the photos haha, but sadly it has 2 deep scratches in the bonnet :( deep enough that you can feel it with your fingernails so it cant be cut/polished out, bummer.

Heres a better pic with the fairing on.

And one at La Parouse last night, lighting was really bad and my skills are really bad too.

@ VWgolf.net.au Warehouse meet, parked away from all the Golfs of course!

Also painted the little 'vents' on the front/rear lip and side skirts back to black as the previous owner painted them white.

How did you go about painting the vents?

How did you go about painting the vents?

The front ones, the mesh and the backing are removable so we undid the lip and took them off.

For the side skirts.. they mesh/backing is fixed so we just taped up everything and used alot of newspaper lol

Did the same for the rear too because there was too much silicone used when the rear skirt went on!

How much did the racks and bike mounts set you back?

I need to get a setup like that, not to keen to throw my bike in the back. Going to end in tears.

and are the racks easy to remove after each use?

I leave them on but I think it would be a 5min job to take them off and 10min to put back on.

The racks were around $300, bike carrier was $220.
