Nice!! :D

how come your door doesnt have black trim around it, has this had a respray before?

Posted

Negative, Its a 2nd hand door. My original door was damaged as well with my quarter and the door was pretty much unrepairable. The 2nd hand door had minor dints in the middle so it was repaired and primed up! Also picked it up for $10 ;)

Bargain!!! plastidip where the trim should go and you wont even tell once its all fixed up ;)

Update!

I've painted the car last week, turned out alot better than I expected. The car wasn't sprayed in the original colour so i had struggled to colour match it.

Also, I've entered EXE track day on the 21st October. I'm finishing off rebuilding my series 2 caliper with some QFM HPX pads going in. My brake lines will be replaced by HEL brake lines and penrite racing brake fluid will be going in. Still deciding on which tyres to get though I don't want to spend too much so federals rsr's may be the choice. Hoping to hit under 50's, so we'll see how we go!

Paint looks flawless!! :D

Strip the car out and with the brakes in you should be able to crack that on street tyres no worries...

Keep an eye out on Ozhonda and mx5cartalk for used semis ;)

Looks great with the fresh paint! Where did you get it done?

And where did you source the series 2 calipers from?

I've been looking on there everday Justin! Think I'll get new tyres unless some pop up before hand.

Thanks guys, paint was done at my work and it was pretty much a freebie from the boss :D

I've sent you a pm about the calipers Chris.

what did you do to wax your car? red car , after waxing, looks really shinny

Posted

Just a wax sponge and wax. Solid colours tend to wax up well especially reds though the down fall is that they fade back.

Heres the rest of the photos I took, enjoy!

Thanks everyone!

If I ever sell them...? Buy adapters to 4x100 and fit them on your chaser, trololo.

Justin, new seat is amazing! Makes me feel more confident around corners and does feel more comfortable than the standard seat.
