Best Car for little money challenge

Steve

Recommended Posts

So for a bit of fun it would be great to see what we can buy out there for very little money. There are a lot of cars out there that are going for peanuts and there are some real cool performers too. So here is the challenge, what could you buy from http://www.carpoint.com.au (or any other classifieds) for 3000 AU Dollars or less? The winner will be based on performance and price. It can be any brand too!

Post your answers and even a link if you can. Remember it has to be under 3k.

1992 Nissan Pulsar s14

Link here

The paint Job may be a bit rough, but its $3000, it has an sr20 engine, and with work done to it, can go fairly good. Seems to have 100xxx kms which is fairly low for an old car, has 18" Rims and appears to be lowered. Has a sound system, definately not the top of the range, but decent. Weighs approx 1.1 Tonnes. The interior of the car seems to be taken care of. Neat little car with plenty of room.

Some photos from car point.

How about a 1993 Camry ultima 2200cc for $50 .

It had 298000kms and I bought it for my son.

It now has 340000kms and has been pranged and repaired under insurance twice.

We only change the oil once a year when rego is due.

Can't kill this car!

Have Fun!
