Hey everyone,

So I recently bought some lip kits for the Aurion and a few people have pm'd me about updates on fitting etc.

Progress has been slow as I have been busy with work etc.

I have the following pictures to show my current progress. It also gives a good indication of what the lip kit will look like.

I tried painting the front lip with some left over paint I had from a previous project. It looks a little off colour... but I will make it glossy and see if it is still noticeably off colour. If that fails, then I will just get a shop to paint it for me.

The following pictures are of the front and side skirt roughly mounted. Fitting seems to be fine for front and side. Have not tried rear yet. It will be updated later.

If you're interested in buying a kit, let me know. I am waiting to receive bills from customs etc. but a price should be decided soon. Keep watching this thread for updates!

Thanks

A price will be set soon. It should be more or less around the $400 mark, depending on the total costs of import duty, fees etc.

A rear lip spoiler is included. I will post pictures soon.

Will they fit on the Sportivo? Mine is 09 upgrade, i think its what ive seen called 'post-facelift' Kinda looks like the car is frowning rather than whats on your car...

Mate you can do whatever you want as long as you have the money to do it. In your case, I've heard people do it, by changing the whole bumper, not just the lip.

^ True.

Anyway just an update:

I have handed the lip kit to a shop to get it painted and fitted. I should have pictures of the final product within one week!

The price of these will be $440 per kit. I looked on ebay and the cheapest one I could find was $750, and this design looks so much better.

They would be around $100 cheaper but I had to factor in all the costs for postage + export fee, GST, Duty, Customs clearance, terminal handling charges etc etc.)

The $440 includes:

Front lip

Side skirts

Rear lip

Rear lip spoiler

Postage is not included. I can arrange meets if you are in Melbourne. Otherwise I can get a quote on a courier for you. My guess on postage will be around $60. Alternatively, you may arrange your own couriers etc.

Please PM me if you're interested.

I am selling these at almost my cost price because I really just wanted a kit for myself, but had to purchase a minimum order. This means I have around 4 of these kits sitting in my garage and I just want to see them go!

Jaysonn mate, I think people will be keen to see the end result before they started buying it off you. Better post up some decent pics to sell your stuff, and get a proper Selling page in Buy & Sell thread..

Of course people won't buy something they haven't seen yet. I will have pictures within a week, as the kit is currently being painted at a shop.

I will create a proper buy and sell thread. The above post was an update on useful information.

I know it took a while, but finally everything is done :)

Attached are pictures of the lip kit installed onto my Aurion ATX.

Thoughts? Personally, I think its quite good. Very unique, doesn't look very rice.

In the pictures, you can clearly see how the lip kit looks very new and shiny and my car is dirty. It needs a wash...

The only problems I had with fitting was when the paint job shrunk the side skirts a little bit. But with a little pushing, it will fit.

The other problem was the exhaust hole, where it had to be cut. The cut hole has no lip, but this is only noticeable when you look at it at close range.

I will be creating a proper buy thread for this soon.

Thanks for looking!

Wow. That looks really great. What was the cost of paint and did you fit it yourself? Great job.

Posted (edited)

I have a friend who can paint the entire lip kit for around $250 and fitting for $50. That to me, is a bargain. Especially because the paint job is so nice.

Its been worth the wait , thats a really nice lookin kit, and your mate done a great job painting and fitting,

Car looks 100% better over stock, and for a while i'd say your's is ganna stay very orig!

Only qirk i have is with the back, soz it just dosnt quiet do it for me, but that might just be the tips not sitting right?

Still GREAT job and really nice pics :toast:

Thanks Defyant!

Comparing photos of the car with and without the lip kit just shows how much difference a lip kit makes. Definitely 100% better than stock.

I actually went outside to have another look at the back and I realised that in real life, it looks different to what the camera captures. The only way I can explain it is that the lip flares outwards in the middle while it wraps inwards on the side.. so from that particular angle on camera, it looks like the tip is very close to one side.

Here is another picture of the tip and the lip, directly behind the tip. So you can see that the tip is actually situated almost in the middle. The lip also solved an issue I had with the tip sitting too low, or too far from the top of the stock lip xD two birds with one stone lol
