on the montain passes.... nothing but pennywise... ;)

through the city, I need the Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, John Butler etc to chill to

for the in between, Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters etc...

on the long trips, crank up the hard house and D&B...

i dont play them in my sportivo cos i dont have one, but they are loud and proud in the ascent.

Psychedelic trance.

Any of the following artists kick ****.

Artifakt

Shift

Damage

Broken Toy

Azax Syndrome

Crunchy Punch

Rinkadink

Wizzy Noise

Twisted System

Phyx

Killer Buds

WinterDemon

Scrob

RAM

NRS

N3Xu5

P.S. Has anyone noticed that if you burn mixes (or songs) to MP3 format, that when you stop the car & then restart it later, that the stereo doesn't remember the point in the song that you left off at. This sucks when you do a 2+ hour mix & you generally only drive for around 40 minutes at a time. Original CDs (wave files) don't seem to have this problem....

If you are still using stock head unit then i wouldnt expect anything more. If you have aftermarket piece then either you stuffed up your permanent memory connection to the battery somehow or you chose a crappy head unit.

As for my choice in music (although i dont have a stivo...) it depends who else is in the car with me. I have a wide listening range and play music that i normally dont really like just because it sounds good with the 12" dualies <cough> *techno* <cough>. I would have to say my preference lies in old school metal though, you cant beat the original Iron Maiden and Metallica...

All good stuff, Brenndan, to which I'll add AC/DC (my own "best of" mix) and Jet.

We might be showing our age a bit, though! :P

Old Aussie hits are some of the best. :)

I usually play trance/happy hardcore, with some R&B thrown in.

Every now and then I pump up some Kenny G while cruising and tackling the twisties. :)

Don't know about Kenny G but definately Joe Satriani in particular Surfing with the Alien. What a great cruising album. :D
