Just wondering if anyone's tried using steel wool to clean their windscreen? I watched a video but I'm not 100% convinced

Is this a serious question?

yes it is,

Why? - I know a dope who used a scourer pad all over his car, really wrecked the paint.

yes you can use steel wool on your windows.

BUT make sure it's 00 grade wool. That's the finest you can buy. You can get it from your local printshop. I have used it loads of times for getting overspray off on paint jobs.

From memory it's about $8 for a decent bunch.

Again only 00 grade wool

Bangtown is bang on.. It is perfectly fine provided 00 grade is used. Using a clay bar will also work.

I think I'll stick to Morning Fresh.

Clay bar would be my choice out of the two.

Ok so I stand corrected.

I have just started a new job and they use steel wool on the windows, and omg you have never seen anything like it.

We use 000 grade and the results are amazing.
