G4 Racing coilovers

I called up today and changed the spring rate to 7/5 from the original which is 7.5/6.2, due to what others hav commented. Hopefully it all goes well.

Daz with ur ride height do u hav any camber issues, or bottoming out. As i want mine to be exactly the same height , well 2 fingers between wheel and guard.

there are certain corners that if i take at speed the gaurd will scrub. on normal driving with bumps etc the car is fine.

the camber seems to be ok... i did get a wheel alignment at the time of the install.

on my car there is prob one finger gap at the front and sits on the wheel at the rear. the beauty with coilovers is u can adjust them if u dont like the height! ;)

any updates yet?

how long did they tell you for delivery... I'm getting pretty itchy to get back out to Wakefield Park and would like to know your review of these before I choose some coil-overs to buy.

Are you running a stock tyre and wheel still JAZE? No gap front and back apparently set's up the car better (I live in Canberra tho, roads are smooth as a baby's bum here) and there's still no rubbing. If 17's were fitted? Guards would need rolling a little bit. 18's? Rolled properly. When and if I grab 18's I'm still going to be 100mm odd off the ground (yes...I'm used to ghetto rides...I have kidneys built for it lol) so I'll be rolling guards and pummeling the tyre walls in a bit with a rubber mallet.

Are you coming to Blacktown drive in this weekend Jaze? Be good to see the black beast and introduce it to my 'currently' stock red beast lol.

Yep im still running stockies atm. When i have time im going to lower it further, just 1 finger gap hehe. i have to anyways because the front is higher haha and rear lower :blink: The front skirt has scrapped a fair bit already :D but its underneath so doesnt matter.

Its been like 2 months since i have installed these, i must say they are quite comfortable. no where near stock comfort, but there not overkill like spine breakn. I recently upped the damping as it was getting a lil too comfortable or me getting used to it :P . Better rubber is a must in the future, especially in the wet the turanzas dont grip, but in the dry there above average

I've only ever scraped once man, and that's because I was an idiot coming out of a driveway with a 45 degree angle lol. I think ANY car would scrape doing that. Interesting you've scraped already. Dang Sydney roads. Mario has riding low as well and I dont think he's scraped at all  he's a magician

I'm getting D2's in man, pretty much the same features bar the fact the D2's are tubular or something, that's what makes them stiff as. Meh, all I know is the G4's, D2's and Danz's coilovers (dunno the brand) are probably the better 'bang for buck'. Otherwise...get cusco's or DMS as they say. Hmmmm.

actually if the front scrubs, they scrub the guard liner, mostly at the bumper bracket. i don't think any amount of guard rolling is going to help stop that

Ooooo I see master shao hmmmm. Oh well, flared guards and wider offset then.

Hang on...I don't that'd fix it either...dammmmmmn lol

My first car (which we still have) is a mark 2 escort which my old man and I built. super low's pre weight weight rated and koni yellows, 2 leaves removed and panhard rod in the back too. I could feel pebbles when I drove over them lol. I learnt how to drive in that thing lmao. I'm glad dad taught me that way 'cause I got kidneys of steel now hahaha.

Don't worry Pippy, the D2's are on their way ;)

Wait till you see the reaction of the driver behind you when they saw your car went into he driveway with 1 wheel above the ground.

I do that already with just springs though... damn stupid driveway <_<

My driveway sucks... from the gutter it raises and then goes down into an underground carpark, so it has this lovely big hump on it that has scraped my Cat a few times from not being careful enough,

yeah pippy would most definitely be lower than me B)

but yeah suxs how urs scrubs, cos mine does too on really hard cornering :(

is there n e 1 in the lowriders club that does not scrub at all??

HAH lol

I don't think so ay. Maybe if someone was running 15's with a slightly lower profile. When I get 18's i'm going to have to assess how I'm going to get the 'lowrider' look without HEAPS of scrubbing. At least it's not like we're taking layer after layer of tyre off though. Some scrubbing is ok but a sh!tload of it isn't lol. My little ford escort scrubs sometimes on hard cornering and at full lock (*** I love that thing...goes sideways on command), but it doesn't destroy anything...just makes an annoying noise.

Wei, you're running cusco zero 2 yes? Ahhhh QLD...the land of money hehehehe lol.
