yep if the inactive mods are hardly here, then surely the position should be given to someone who will actually do something as moderators...

i vote dylan too, but if he doesnt want the position, then fair enough...

i also vote michael (micky_tee) and/or Rob (badboyz) to be moderator for ACT... i know we don't have specific state moderators, but it would make sense to make someone in each state a moderator... their meets are getting more popular and frequent, so i think it would be wise to make one of them a mod...

if we decide that we do indeed want a revised moderating team (and steve is fine with that), then i think a revote is definately in order, and everyone should start from 0 votes (including current mods) and the top x amount of people with votes should be appointed the position of moderator... sound fair?

i really dont think that we need to can all the current mods and start from scrath..i think we just need to get rid of the inactive ones and replace them with people who are on the site on a daily basis, once this is done i think most people will be happy, Ill also 2nd the vote for micky_tee to take up a moderation position.

I vote for Micky Tee for ACT too, and Eggbert as the 2nd NSW mod... (they need some 1ZZ representation) :P

alrighty so we need to get a nominations thread together...

im happy to keep northy, silva and xoom in, but i think the rest just dont frequent the forums often enough, and their positions can be filled by someone else who would do a better job...

can a mod please start a thread (when you guys are ready) about nominations? once we have a list of people who have been nominated enough, we can start a poll thread perhaps?

I think maybe breaking down the mods down a bit more, not just to state

But for boards them self

Considering General board is really just random stuff, i think that it should have a specific mod, im not saying a mod for every board.. But it will let each mod focus on the paticular board better

id have to say that frequenting the forums alot ... I read pretty much every post .... and I mean every post .... Not really at a size where specific mods for specific areas ... but an option none the less

its all part of the whoring personality HEheheh :)

just wait till he gets me a job first... then he can increase his whoring as much as he wants...

he's right though, i think there's a number of us who are able to stay on top of every post that comes through this forum... if we can do that, i dont think we're at a stage where we need board specific moderators...

with six odd ACTIVE mods this would not be needed as the mods would be able to cover this no probs between them.

Wow new mods again? The last one we had worked out pretty good except for the fact the person who got most votes didn't end up wanting to take the job so there were a lot of wasted votes there. So lets avoid that this time around.

If it's going to be state specific then... QLD mods are active as they are. NSW mods could do with one more active member. I think I voted for Dylan last time and I shall hope he's put up for poll voting this time around too. But I think you said you don't have time for moderating? That's a shame man. Maybe eggbert would do well for the NSW team.

I'm going to vote for Danz again for Victoria even though he doesn't seem to come on as much nowadays. Not many active/daily visitor members from Victoria I think. Oh well, hope it works out in everyones liking :D

*edit* I agree that the current moderators should be put up for voting too. So maybe a vote with say 4 or 5 people from each state and the top 2 from each state get the job?

Micky should be the ACT mod I agree.

I'm the only other ACT member on here but I suffer from accute Schizophrenia (I have a split personality who's name is Nelson).

So that would rule me out.

Nelson stirs too much sh!t.

You didn't need to vote for yourself mate, I was going to ;) You should deffinately be up in the nominees Aaron. Mark (MAP81) would be great too.

Oh for the VIC members, I'd like to vote for Carlo (1ZZ-FE). He should deffinately get a chance to represent the Victorians. And if another member is needed, since there aren't many regular everyday VIC members visiting... probably Jules (RME1). That's if needed though :)

      1999 Camry Driver's door locking hatch issue

      It's possible that it could be something fouling or dirt build up, dry, or a broken mechanism, so have a look and give the mechanism some lubrication, most likely though, it'll be the actuator.       Query about the correct rotors for 2006 ACV40 Camry.

      Hi, I'm looking at a set of front rotors for an ACV40 2006, 2.4L Camry. I got a good price on some RDA's at Sparesbox. However both RDA8112 and RDA7686 show as for my car and I'm wondering what the difference is and if there were changes to the rotors during the model production. So does anyone know which rotor is the correct one? Many thanks in advance.

      Your solution is akin to suggesting that switching to a different car manufacturer would resolve the issue. However, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for using an iPhone as you do.

      Turboed Corolla Overbuilt?

      that engine will be fine, the rods are the main thing to be concerned about. The 2860 is a decent turbo for the 1zz but in this day and age I'd go for a G25-550. The injectors might be on the small side, we run DW1000's. You need a full length injector, the shorter injectors with adaptors like ID1050x dont fit the 1zz head. You don't need an aftermarket intake manifold, if you do go down that path, avoid the CNC innovations unit, it's garbage. Do the boost control with a MAC valve and control it with the aftermarket ECU of your choice, I use Link stuff on most of my builds with the G4x Storm as the minimum. I also wire a fuel pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor to the ECU in my installs. Use a decent intercooler, the better cores (ARE, PWR, Garrett, Vibrant, Plazmaman, Hypertune) work a lot better than the chinese stuff like Aeroflow. a 450x250-300 fits fairly well with custom end tanks to route the cooler pipes through next to the radiator Don't forget about the clutch and gearbox. These days I like the Uniclutch twinplate, Above 300whp you'll want to think about upgrading the 3rd and 4th gears in the box also with the SSC (Hollinger) gear set and install an LSD of your choice. If you're going to give it a hard time, you'll also want an oil cooler. I like the HKS thermostat type sandwich plates and setrab or mocal oil coolers with -10 speedflow fittings/lines (Chinese AN fittings neck down to a lot smaller internal diameter in their bends, not great for flow) You'll also want to think about brakes, Celica or Sportivo front calipers will bolt on with sportivo discs as a starting point. To have somewhere like Tunehouse do the work you'll want to budget somewhere between 20-40K

      I did the mathematics myself regarding costs vs benefits for fuel injector cleaner. I have changed from 91ULP to 95PULP and 98PULP. Price difference can be about 13 -20 cents. Compared to 91ULP, Premium quality fuel should have a better quality additive package designed to have superior engine cleaning capabilities so the engine can perform at their best.

      Camry Touring 2010 A/C Issues.

      Hi Guys, My Camry 2010 Touring just had a regas done on it and the next day for some reason it wasn't blowing cold air but the next day it is now working with nice cold air BUT every now and then we can hear and feel a like a buzz for a few secounds and today while my sister took my I could her like a mild knock sound when stopped but goes away when driving. Any idea what this could be and the A/C is always working now for now.

      High idling on the 2zzge even when warm (solved!)

      i am in sydney, just got 1992 tarago, same problem, 2k idle speed when engine warm, changed the whole throttle body, ECU, still same, help pls in sydney 0405987988
