Hi Dave, welcome to the forums, you will be surprised, the people on these forums are not really like that, everyone on here is pretty cool and helpful and we all respect each others cars, remember this is a corolla forum, not just a sportivo one, we all love our corollas :).

Beating a B16 is possible. Out of the box, the B16 civic vti-r is superior. My friend own a vti-r and I can say that with the same kind of mods 1zz can match the performance of B16. To actually beat it, I am not too sure because I never tried dragging a vti-r. My friend's Vti-R is waaay to fast for me to match, his engine mod is just superior and is ligthing quick.

Welcome Dang,

Nothing wrong with the IZZ motor, because it's not highly tuned out of the box, it's got loads of potential waiting to be unlocked! Danz and Northy's rides are proof of that - with a quarter mile in the 15 second bracked already achieved with simple exhaust and intake mods. ;)

Kcorro - don't knock the home made lift - it works -really :D  :D

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the warm welcome guys.

Juss another question guys,

Does the ZZE122R have alot of potential?

compare to a Honda b16a or b18c?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum mate!

You can still get good increase in performance with NA tuning but it also means big bucks. In Japan they have JUN, Spoon and Mugen for Honda tuning and they can make big hp if you are willing to spend the money. Or look at the US they turbocharge nearly all their VTEC Hondas and for half the money of NA-tuning they get double the power. It all comes down to how much you want out of your car and the amount of $$$$ you got. I would also take into consideration durability, reliability, practicality and resale value.

all u gotta do is do a full exhaust system and cold air intake, plus chuck in some iridium spark plug. that's all i got and yeap it goes very well. and I still get the same milage if not better. So far i can clock 550 with 1/4 left on tank. Now with the mods I am seeing the same results already so ish all gewd babah!
