  1. hmm... you might want to check your AFR whilst your're at it... maybe a bad o2 sensor is making the engine run rich/lean? that might be contributing to the problem.
  2. But to save a few bucks its beeter not to risk it. THe toyota LLC is really good for the price and its not as if you change your coolant that often no?
  3. I"ve never worked on a tarago before so here is some tips i can give you on general audio installation. The new headunit will most likely not be the same plug as the toyota head unit, so you will ahve to either purchase a adapter loom from an audio shop (if they do have one for your car, or cut the head of the old loom off and splice the wires to the new headunit loom. There's a thread on the forums with the loom pin layouts so you can match them to the new ones. once you got the wiring done, your're all set for the HU!
  4. ERm, sure bill, whatever you reakon... *stupid kebab driver*
  5. This is a fun little page It lets you configure your own GTI and take it for a race! Zoom!
  6. maybe he just really really really liked them? but surely there would be a benefit of chucking the lot unto the one bill, esp if depreciating the lot on tax
  7. OOo looks like its going to be a good day! bump for the rolla boys!
  8. Quit confusing the boy and distracting him from the chrome stuff! MMMmm.... shinnnnyyy
  9. hey Les, was that in leather or pleather? i wanna get leather in the passat but was quoted 2.2k in melb... that's way too much for my pocket...

  11. but make sure you buy decent ones! LED ones from ebay burnt out in 2 days for me, then i went back to polargs!
  12. That's right, now i remember the car... think i'm getting old....
  13. Try, remove the glove box, and its on the left hand side along the chassis.. they're not screws as much as plugs that hold wires to the side of the car.... hey shadow, thanks for your reply. sounds like you have experienced the same problem. only thing is though, i cant see the plastic pop out screws as u have described. the only plastic screws i have are those on the foot well kick panel down below. there are plastic round clips under the glove box area but do not have grooves to adjust or tighten :( let me know if i am blind or missing something! :) cheers mate
  14. How practical is anything over 17?
  15. So in 4 years time i'll give you a call for that car. I don't earn enough to have that kind of tax write off...
  16. CHROOOOOMMMMEEE! You need fully sik, big chromies! Look in the garage for my old car. Those were indeed, furry sik!
  17. I"ll just wait until i can pick one of these up for loose change, what with the magnificant rate of depreciation they have... :P
  18. You might find the glue that they use to bond the stuff bubbles in the heat. or worst, the "CF" layer curls in the heat and your engine bay looks like a cheap autobarn special... don't forget the oil/grease that accumalates on certain spots of the panels which will contribute to extra heat retention
  19. Maybe you have a bad ground for the antenna circuit, is it still under warranty? Try pulling the HU out and cleaning the HU to ant wire contacts with contact cleaner and also doign the same with the antenna itself. if that doesn't help perhaps an inline signal booster might be needed...
