  1. Good work! Now you can help me do mine.. :P Did you drive on Sunday? Should've shown me in person! Peter.
  2. Nice! Footscary FTW. Hahaha you finally got a decent photo of it Johnnie! Hmmm I don't think the black TRD lip fits very well.. maybe it's just me. The gold rims look alright but I think it looked better with the previous black wheels Peter. EDIT: and I think I'll keep my mirror covers black.. Lol
  3. This is very interesting Dave! Great work! I, however noticed that RR is less than RL.. is that due to the 2ZZ fuel tank being on the left? Peter.
  4. I can take a picture of my fronts if you want to compare. My kings are still on my stock shocks.. ;) Peter.
  5. That's a good point..didn't think of that! :(
  6. Not that I am aware of.. I had the same problem with my mum's AE112, was pretty damn annoying!! <_< The hatchbacks have a hydraulic (?) release, but I'm scared of the day that it doesn't open!!
  7. Ah ok. I've seen TOYTRD in the western suburbs a few times and he has gold/bronze rims as I recall. So must have been TRolla (explains the wingtips). Alex loved that car, washing it at least once every week!
  8. Yes ZRE152 headunit will fit. And are you talking about Guni? :P Peter.
  9. So hot mate! Love it! if only you were down here and give me a ride! When's the next planned track day? Have been told that KU36 are decent cheaper track tyres in summer! Peter.
  10. Can't wait! This has been a long time coming! Congrats man! Peter.
  11. Oh really? It looked like you. Did not manage to see the plates, otherwise I would know it wasn't you. It had black rims and blue hids.. hmmm wonder who it is! Peter.
  12. Were you by chance turning left onto Blackburn road from Wellington road last night? I think it was you. I should measure my height too, although don't think it will be low as you guys. Peter.
  13. Why, I cannot find any data on this, almost 100kg heavier.. where are they coming from Comparing the three (all 1.8L manual) ZZE122R (Ascent): 1118kg kerb weight. ZZE123R ('03 Sportivo): 1224kg kerb weight. ZRE152R (Ascent): 1275kg kerb weight. Note: models higher than Ascent will be slightly heavier due to extra accessories etc.. Peter.
  14. Some FYI, cold start this morning and saw the rev was only at 1200-1300rpm for the first min or less. I recall it being around 1500rpm when using OEM oil? Someone confirm this. :) Peter.
  15. I know that it's obvious Mobil 1 5w-50 and Castrol Edge 5w-30 sh*ts on the OEM oil but I say anyway. I found the main difference between OEM oil and Mobil/Castrol was the startup and warming up period. I found with the OEM oil, the car revs high for the first min or so but this amount of high rev time is reduced significantly with Mobil/Castrol and warms up quicker (due to the 5w-xx). I also found that the engine was more free-revving in acceleration and more fuel efficient. When I had Mobil 1 5w-50 in my car over last summer, I knew I could push it without worry. However saying this, some might say 50 might be too thick and a 5w-40 oil will be a better choice for summer for spirited drivers. Castrol is cheaper and somewhat similar to Mobil 1 (to me), so I think I will stick to Castrol Edge 5w-30 for the next service. Peter.
  16. ZRE tanks are 55L and at least 80kg's odd heavier than the ZZEs. There are too many variables to compare the two. And if you want to know how fuel efficient the ZRE can be. In summer, I use to work on the Westside of Melbourne (I live in South-East). My average was 7.2L/100kms (on the car computer) and best was 6.9L/100kms. Typically, I would drive 600+kms and fill up only 45L max. This included spirited driving every now and then. So the ZRE can definitely achieve lower than this, I think I read someone did.. Since I am not working there anymore and am just going short distances from home to uni and I put a CAI in, my average has gone up to 7.8L/100kms hahaha! Still can achieve 7.1L/100kms but I don't drive far distances frequently anymore, maybe once or twice a week now. Peter. EDIT: I love the induction noise!
  17. I have used Mobil 1 5w-50 for the first 30,000kms, and currently using Castrol Edge 5w-30. Peter.
  18. Lee sold off his rims (and springs)? I think he did.. Just saw a black Rukus when I dropped my bro off at school. Look is beginning to grow on me I must admit!
  19. Dave, can you send the link again, it seems broken. Just for my own information, what brackets do you guys use? :) Peter.
  20. You don't have a facelift s'tivo, but you should ask/PM this man! Peter.
  21. Thanks guys! Wasn't sure how about to go with these things. With the colour coding of the front lip, maybe I'll do it with you Peter/pezzie (too many Peters) and if I don't like it, get it redone at some paint place? :) With the Levin ZR badge, masking up the areas with the small/thinner 'levin' text could be a challenge. Pete's way sounds like it will look very neat (you can make the red brighter) but not sure how well I would do it though.. hahaha! Peter.
  22. Nice! I think that as well, all the recent corollas ('03+) seem like they have a country pack. Lows will suffice but the rear gap is always considerably larger! <_< About the smaller tire sizes, Guni was telling me that too but I'll consider that later. Since the speedo will showing higher than what are you're actually doing, do you adjust your speed? Or do just don't care? Please post up photos soon! :) Peter.
  23. Ohh no! Hopefully my payment does not get delayed!
