  1. The seats are an interesting touch, although I'm interested in how he did them. In some pics it looks like they just went over the original leather Not a fan of the exterior though, but kudos for trying something different.

    Funny Pics

obviously it's the difference between what men and women consider to be the actual problem here
  3. My VIN is actually in the front passenger door jamb on a sticker <_<
  4. Is everyone else buying the ticket there so we can sit together or what? Yeah I figure that's the best way to do it, so wait until we're all there before buying yours
  5. strange. I signed up to cinebuzz and entered that promotional code and it works fine for me. When I go to buy tickets I can select up to 4 tickets for only $10 each for non-3d movies.
  6. For me I can't drive after 11pm. I think we should just leave it as a movie as it looks like there will only be the 4 of us.
  7. After practicing with my steering gear-shift paddles I've actually found the S-mode to be semi decent with spirited driving, but to stop the gearbox upshifting when you want to stay in the power band, or you're slowing down but want to keep the revs up so you can exit a corner quickly. Granted it has got some delay at times but if you can easily adjust your style to accommodate this. Rather than compare it to proper sequential shifters you may have driven, just use it on its on merits and it will be plenty enjoyable.
  8. Okay due to a change in the votes, the final details are as follows Indooroopilly Cinemas Harry Potter 3D 7:15pm I have 4 confirmed (myself included), if you are interested in coming let me know else we will go in without you (and you can go sit by yourself like a nigel no friends)
  9. It's been awhile now, but I actually removed the rear bumper to get easy access. The reflectors come outwards from the car but they have a screw holding them in behind the bumper. For wiring I used an existing grommit that leads into the boot cavity and spliced into the factory harness for the tail lights. Fairly straightforward but a bit of mucking around involved.
  10. Sabine Schmitz Good fun for the driving, conversation and she could probably teach me a thing or 2. Plus not bad to look at either.
  11. Okay guys as I'm heading out late tomorrow and won't be back until mid Saturday I need to know final numbers before deciding to give this the go ahead or not. After speaking to a few of you tonight it looks like Transformers 3 might be the better movie, at Indro late Saturday afternoon/evening. Looking for at least 4 people, so with the above details please let me know whether you're coming by tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. If it gets called off I'll let you all know by lunchtime Saturday at the latest (otherwise assume it's still a go ahead)
  12. <sigh> FINE I'll get the freakin coilovers <grumble> Guess I'll have to also figure out how to disassemble my current headlights and fix them AGAIN despite my extreme efforts of "sealing" them last time. Might also have a play whilst in there to make it worth my time hehe
  13. Just fit them yourself.. its not that hard. Knowing me I probably would, but a bit extra is still required for the wheel alignments
  14. If I go the coilover route then the BC racing brands are probably the only ones within my price range (around $1400 plus a bit extra for installation etc). Even then that's going to be a bit of a stretch.
  15. do it fgt But they hold this magical power called 'if you don't work, you are fired' they go by the name of...... Woolworths. If they call me, I have to work, if they don't call me, I'm all sweet. But it gives me a feeling of being on edge just waiting everyday for that call :shudder: It used to work the same way when I was at coles - however I always had the option of simply not answering the phone. It worked wonders as you're not paid a penalty to be on call afterall
  16. Okie need some opinions here people. I've got a bit of a tax refund coming this year and am torn between what mods are next on the list. Some larger wheels n better tyres have already been organised as a stop gap for my current set up, hence why not on the list. Possibilities include 1) Aftermarket headlights (cheapest option) Ie the CCFL and Audi strip ones like those on ebay here. Reason for these is mostly that my current headlights don't seal properly and tend to fill with condensation every time I wash it (and resealing them isn't possible anymore) 2) BC Adjustable coilovers To give it more performance through the twisty bits 3) Leather retrim Just retrimming some bits and pieces of the interior to a tastier leather. Nothing overboard but enough to make a difference. 4) 19 inch wheel/tyre package The 18 inch wheels I'm getting are just on loan, but will be fitted with really good rubber. However if I forgo any of the above I can go 1 inch larger with semi-decent (but not as good) tyres. Please stop by with your vote people as I'm very conflicted here and could use some public opinion.
  17. Work has been shifted from Thursday to Friday, which means I'll actually be at the meet well rested for a change!
  18. currently looks like Cars 2 at Indro. If you haven't yet voted please do so soon. Also if coming copy and paste your name into the below with a post so I can get an idea of numbers 1) Steven 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) etc
  19. Looks like another boring weekend coming up so who's up for a TOCAU trip to the movies this Saturday evening/night? Movie would be whichever gets the most votes, and venue will be either be Garden City, Chermside, or Indooropilly depending on what's most convenient for everyone. Looking for at least 4 people to make the night out worth it. Also possibly a quick cruise up Nebo or to get a bite to eat after if everyone's keen.
  20. Please read this thread, it's currently at the top of the Aurion forum sub section and contains plenty of info of units ranging from a few years ago to what's being developed for the market right now and soon to be released.
  21. Unfortunately for me it's probably the Aurion Sportivo I currently own. Been in a huge variety of *****-heaps and everyday cars but nothing with even as much performance as the Aurion. Sad eh
