i use the w8006 yellow polishing pad with swirlx/ ultimate compound/ m205 for the nxt 2.0 i use the w9007 finishing pad... but i alternate between that and my mothers wax attack (which i think spreads the wax a bit better) after you apply the wax with the machine, alloy it to set and remove with a microfibre cloth. i dont buff the product off with the machine... :P hope tha helps

glad to hear you gave her a good wash daryl :) but sorry to hear you didnt enjoy it as much as you could of :( at least now you know the claying part is out of the way and it will be another couple of months before you need to go thru it. If you want to use a product(s) which will lengthen the time needed between wax's, maybe give the new meguiars ultimate wash & wax shampoo. while it wont replace the act of waxing, it will probably serve to boost your current wax which means longer time between wax sessions. oh and get onto a synthetic wax if your not liking the regular wax thing, lasts yonks :) im sure by readin my previous posts you would know what wax's i recommend :P anyyyway today was spent sorting out the ducktail on my car... thanks to our good friend SikaFlex, she's now sitting in my garage waiting to dry up. :) very happ with the looks! have my car booked in for probably the biggest mod i have done on monday the 10th... very very excited! :) :)

looks great!!! inspires me to get something similar done to mine, as i just have the boring ol sub box fitted in the centre of my boot... keep the mods coming!!! :) and get those dang kappa's on!!! :P

How's the wax? Did you bulk buy? Did you bring me back some? haha. Some more pictures on the way? i only bought 2 tins of it (only had the paste version) but i have 'rellos who will be coming back from singapore soon so i will probably get them to pick some more up for me and also some neat 3m products ive never seen here too.. if your interested PM me and i can sort something out :) havent tried the wax yet unfortunately... my exisiting layer of M21 is holding strong for now. I will give it a big wash and photoshoot after the 10th, as thats when my next big mod is getting done ;) first impression of the wax thou, it is a lot softer in feel(paste) than the original gold class wax... and much much softer than M26 yellow wax... has a pleasent aroma, and a consistency i can only describe as "slightly chilled butter". claims to have better protecting (thus longer lasting) than the previous gold class but thats yet to be seen. I will be applying it as my sole wax (instead of layering with M21/NXT 2.0 like i usually do) to test out the durability. I guesstimate it probably wont last as long as M21 or NXT 2.0 thou, but wl give better depth... results will be posted soon ;)

Just got back from overseas, and bought back some brand new MEGUIARS GOLD CLASS CARUNBARA PLUS wax! yeeoow! hasnt even hit WA (or possibly australian) shores yet, will be applying to my car tomorrow! :) :) more mods are on the way!

dammit ill still be overseas :( i am going to organize a photoshoot/cruise (which i DONT want to be lead car!! :P ) after i get back, or if we make this after the 30th, we can merge cruises? :P if not, have an awsome cruise guys! drive safe :)

to add to this, if your looking for a pretty decent sub/amp set up which will pump hard but not break the bank, try the Alpine m500 mono block and s-type 12inch. im running that set up in mine now and it goes hard. eventually i will be upgrading to a x type and pdx but for now it certainly satisfies me. also have a look at Lee (1stkills) set up. i think he uses rockford fosgate subs and amps. so glad your starting your mods! cant wait to see it :)

for your black aurion... i would say its more of a question of "why havent you grilled it yet!?!?" just take a look at VF-X's black with chrome grill... B) hey jeff, yeah sorry i was so amped about the quality and look of the grill i couldnt resists... plus as you probably have seen, im a camera whore so ill take any opportunity to snap a shot :P im in the same situation, building at the moment but the missus is pretty understanding (lucky me!) she knows i have my own personal "slush fund" :P

I'm really considering putting this on my car but if I dislike it it's going to be a waste of money. thanks mate :) i got the grill from the group buy... whicch sourced them from r style racing in thailand. quality wise i was very suprised... the chrome grill feels really solid and has no visible defects... it acctually feels more solid than the original aurion sportivo grill i had on there previously! id highly recommend it, im loving the look of the cars front now... love pulling up behind someone with a shiney paint panel at the lights now :P thanks for the comments, will have the ducktail fitted after i get back from os, along with some more mods i have lined up! *evil grin* AH okay, cheers mate. $200.oo per light sounds a bit better than what has been quoted on here before? or am i just imagining that? also consider philips crystal vision h11, had good experience with those in my fogs... i ran philips power2nite h11 in my low beams before i went to HID and they were pretty good too..

fark, i never really paid that much attention to your mufflers dude! they look awsome! do you get much drone with them? you liking the noise with them? seeing AFAIK you are an audio buff, do you find it disturbs your music clarity at all? thats the main reason i havent touched my exhaust yet... i like my music too much :P

i swear those tyre marks were there when i got there... honest! i wouldnt be skidding on the adrenalins anyway.... too much grip :P thanks for all the comments, i've just been out driving all night, loving the grip in the wet! only time i got wheel skid was coming out from an intersection which had wet sand thrown onto it from the rain we got today, other than that, these tyres grip!! very very happy with my choice, both with wheel size/design and tyres... juvenile - i did want to go for 225/50 but there was a massive price difference and i dont think i would of felt the difference (apart from financially) for the way i drive.. :P Daryl, dont they make the re001's in your size? i hear you been spending crazy money on tyres recently :S U54mot - thanks for your kind words, and also for all your advice thru my PM's regarding tyre size and selection :) you car was one of the main reasons i decided to go for the Kappa's (along with Daryl's)
