  1. ok first up, please please excuse the shocking photos, plus dirty car.. was in too much of a rush to set up a proper shoot, and the weather here in Perth was utterly c.Rap today :( but.. without further delay, here are some pics of the new wheels.. also note that i have removed the aurion badging on the side doors.. ... will update this again when i set up a proper shoot and maybe with some more mods ;) ;) hope you like it :) enjoy
  2. Just got my Kappa rims fitted with some Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin tyres. and fitted onto my car.. LOVE THEM!!!!! tyres are very quiet and grippy.. it started to rain as soon as i was pulling out of the tyre shop, so the car is kidna dirty now. but will clean it up and get photos up asap! loving the new wheels!!! yeeooow!

no worries vick, will let you know when the items arrive here ;)
  4. sorry mate, based on the photo, its a nay from me.. well done for trying something different thou! :) seeing as you have a sportivo, why not try that black park of the front bumper in the carbon wrap? even the rear diffuser?? just a suggestion :P
  5. Hey mate,

sorry my inbox is full :p

anyway the LED globes i had in my fog lights look awsome, i keep them for summer time purely for the looks... they matched my 6000k HID perfectly, but beware, the light output in terms of illumination on the road is basically non existent... hence why i went back to my 4300k globes for winter...

but if your purely after the lo...

  6. i found the single SMD led lights were a bit too focused at a point, so was not very effective as a reading light/finding lost coins light... i then used the panel type smd which has close to 20 small SMD ons it, simplyu using double sided tape to secure it into place.. this woprked out to be too bright, as it was very distracting when driving. in the end i have opted to use the tinted blue "parker" lights i got in the packet with my 4300k crystal vision globes... that worked out very well, still a nice whitish hue and good illumination.. good luck mate :)
  7. yeah, it looks to be heading that way now.. as i dont want to sacrifice my ride comfort but i want the lowered stance... looks like its gonna be an expensive month :P if i can ask a favour from you lee... pm'ed

  9. hey lee, just a question regarding the attempted shock fitting on your car... was it only the comfort shocks that wouldnt fit? or does it apply to all shock absorbers from pedders? ie the sports ryder? i am looking at doing this instead of just the springs, but by reading your thread it looks like i may have to get the same set up with the coilovers?

  13. not much wrong with mine at the moment. i usually replace my wiper blades before winter as part of my "winterizing" routine.. was tossing up between getting the original wiper inserts or changing the whole unit...
  14. anyway you can post a pic of your wiper set up mate? interested in getting some before the real winter hits here...

thanks vick! looking fwd to hearing from you soon :)
  16. welcome mate :) very nice colour you chose, make sure you treat it right by giving it the whole wash/clay/polish/wax regime. as far as mods go, check out the aurion forum, plenty of into there. maybe have a look at wheels, HID's, LED replacements... good luck and hope to hear from you more!!
  17. one other small mod i think would be nice, althou not major... - paint the rear toyota emblem and TRD logo black... will make them a bit more prominent, cant see the emblem on the other side but if its the one that says "toyota" then rip that off quick smart. :P will you be getting a car bra for the front this time? as i remember seeing some pics of the sportivo's front end... would hate to chip the face of that beauty.
  18. pretty sure his kappas bit the dust... i seriously shudder when i see that pic... think im going to go down to my garage and pat my kappas now.. :P
  19. Congrats Daryl :) will be keeping a keen eye on this thread as it progresses :)
  20. looks great mate! are you in perth? did you fit it yourself or get a shop to fit it for you? cheers
  21. got pics of yours bro? wen did you get yours? Mine is just fixed with double-sided tape by the panel beater since they did the colour code, they just stick it on for me... the ducktail also can be bolted on which i think Ari (Aur3on) did..
  22. my rolla now looks like the moon :( my jdm taillights are cracked and my wipers and headlight washer caps flew off and smashed into tiny pieces?! oh no :( :( :( hope insurance sorts it out?
  23. Thought this might be useful for those of us who are going to be getting the rear ducktail spoiler in the Aurion GB... (did a search on "fitting body kit" and "double+sided+tape+spoiler" but didnt come up with anything useful..) how/what would be the best way of fitting the spoiler on? I'm assuming that the good ol double sided tape may not be permanent enough for a exterior body kit part? the process i have in mind was something like 1. degrease the area 2. apply a "glue" of some sort onto the udnerside of the spoiler 3. attach onto boot lid. anyone here have some input on this? or is this something that a panel beater is better of doing? cheers dave
  24. im all good. GF warned me thru sms of killer hail balls in osb park, so i rushed home just as the worst of it hit. just cleaned the car today but im thanking my lucky stars it only got wet, not dinged... was out after the worst of it hit with my dad in his maxima and we were driving through massive "puddles" around the claremont/nedlands area... hope everyone made it out ok. saw a lot of smashed windows.. :(
