  1. Yeah but Leroy, because of your circumstances you need fuel. If I knew I had to use my legs to get to work (or a bike for that matter) I would simply work closer. There is no answer to this argument which is what I am getting at. The only needs in this world are food water and shelter. Everything else is a want. Its a simple as that, but many people are ignorant of this fact, myself included. So in short, I do not feel any sympathy for the general public because of the price of petrol. And nothing you can say will make me feel differently, because the general public does not deserve any sympathy, as much as you may think.
  2. Will you man hug me blue_rolla?
  3. I dont agree. There's always your legs.
  4. Thats a good post in THEORY, but REALITY clearly shows that this car still isnt on the street.... so who's pulling on their ***** now?
  5. all springs sag eventually. The quality between lovells and Kings in negligible
  6. pretty sure the rolla will be able to do more than just keep up if you are a reasonable driver. All depends on how quick you can get off the line. Dont stress too much about this infamous 1-2 gear change cos really it doesnt mean ****.
  7. An exhaust shop. Perhaps a better question would be "Can any Sydney members recommend a reputable exhaust shop?". I'm not from Sydney but I've heard of Liverpool Exhaust and Kings Exhaust.
  8. True, but I think he might have a Camry
  9. High Intensity Definition im pretty sure. and stock tivo pipe is 2.25" And Simo... Farnsey... not cool.
  10. wa pretty sure that Northy would read a thread with his name in the title though :P
  11. yes its glenn aka whiterolla has been turboed for yrs very old news. Front mount, turbo is mounted above gearbox. 120 atw is what i last heard as well.
  12. the flashing sequence of the light it usually indicative of the code its giving off. Unless the light just comes on constantly. Best to get it checked by toyota or a mechanic with the right diagnostic tool. They will check for sure what the code says, reset the ecu and then hopefully fix the problem. I wouldn't leave it very long before it was looked at if i was u.
  13. the time is for the 350z... and your point is? if i had an extra 30 kw in my aurion im pretty sure i can beat 5.7 but the fact is, you dont. I also dont think the extra kw would get you any faster 0-100 mainly because there is much more to it than power. I'm sorry but there are quite a few v6 non turbo's out there that are equal to or better than the aurion. I'm glad your very proud of your car, thats good, but facts are facts.
  14. *timing chain Not timing chain. It is called 'tensioner'-according to the mechanic from toyota. It looks like a small suspension that attached to the engine. It is situated some where around the power brake fluid reservoir or to be exact is behind the drive belt. You can ask toyota mechanic for more details. I just tell everyone what i know I think what Tayles meant is that the Corolla does not have a timing belt as you stated, it has a timing chain. The tensioner is the tensioner, the timing belt is a chain not a belt.
  15. I think you are being generous. Carmates point of view is that "no body kit will ever fit perfectly, you need to cut and change somethings to make it fit nicely." Um, no carmate.
  16. Rationing petrol to lower the price. Wow. Talk about contradictory. f*ckin people that think they can solve the world with there stupid lobby groups. Only decent lobby group to do with anything related to cars in the MTAA.
  17. im closing this. Mate, there are literally thousands of topics on exhausts for the sportivo, its the most covered topic ever on here. The search button is on the top right.

    coilies

dude, you think a corolla on coilies is rough, imma have to take u for a spin in the evolution. much much worse. rolla on normal coils is like silky smooth compared!!
  19. MT

    coilies

because, IMHO adjustable coilovers are complete overkill in a road car.

wow thats a quick turn around! whats next Johnny?
  21. thats cos almost all new or replacement models came out in 07. would would they release in 07 then again in 08??
  22. need to check that the offset is within a good range. whats the offset of the standard rolla wheels and the TRD wheels. my guess is they wont fit (too big and wrong offset). You need a VIN number to buy any parts from Toyota.
