If I have learnt anything from all this Andrew... it's that it is not a gimmick. It does exactly what it is meant to do.... which is to make the car feel more responsive to the driver. At the end of the day, all it is doing is applying the throttle at a rate that is different to what you have been used to with your car. The result of this is that you in turn think it is more responsive. Imagine it's like changing the scale that your TV volume goes up in so that the numbers are then halved. Your TV gets louder at a lower number... but at the end of the day, it just maxes out sooner. The capability of the speakers don't actually increase. Ultimately it does nothing for actual performance. But for some people, feeling that their car is quicker because it takes less physical throttle to do something is more than enough for them. I remember we discussed this product (or similar) at one of the Thursday night meets. Can't I do the same thing by changing a few bits on my cable throttle body? I would love to have more for less, for less than $85 if we can source the bits!

K&N have a recharge kit which is essentially a cleaning agent and filter oil. I clean mine every 10000km as i have a spare filter and alternate them so there is no downtime.

Not sold on this. Seems like a gimmick to me. Especially at $85 including Postage.

I believe there is a short shifter kit for the E53 (not to be confused with the e153) but i can't remember who makes it.

Still reminds me of the 86 (which I don't mind given I think it looks great). Looks pretty sharp to me, nothing wrong with looking a little flash. It doesn't look overdone or ****y.

A few things off the top of my head which can be done 'easily' (ie - off the shelf or easily acquired and worth doing): - Headers (OBX makes off the shelf ones which should fit) + catback (wouldn't bother with a high flow cat, I am still using the factory one) - High flow panel filter or a SRI/CAI setup - Ultra Racing strut brace - Ultra Racing front lower 4-point brace - Ultra Racing rear lower bars (2x 2 point bars) - Ultra Racing 19mm RSB or Whiteline 20mm blade adjustable RSB - Offset control arm bushes if your car is pulling to the left (SuperPro, Nolathane, Whiteline) - Superpro front lower steering rack bushes (makes a big difference to steering response) - Kings/Lovells both make a low or superlow spring. Take away about 10mm of their predicted lowering heights - ACV40R/GSV40R front brake upgrade (a must do! big difference over the standard Gen5 ones) or if you can afford it a TRD Aurion front brake upgrade (need 17" rims though). That's all I can think of for now. BTW, Pacific Blue looks really good when you throw a layer of wax or two on it :)

What has the TRD Aurion got to do with the fuel consumption on the ACV40R, 2.4L 6th Generation Camry? BTW, you're having a bath if you think the 2az-fe holds a candle to the 2gr-fe/2gr-fze which have more power and better fuel consumption (though the FZE is closer to the 2az in fuel consumption but look at the power). You can't compare the Aurion to the Camry anyway they are two different kettles of fish.
