  1. ^ In addition to what Nix has said, it will come down to 2 things: 1) What results you want 2) How much you are willing to pay Unfortunately, these things do not have an inverse relationship and you will need to draw a line.
  2. ^ So in summary: Using these plates as a hoon is an unintelligent idea, no matter what. Regardless if you get caught or not.
  3. Ahh ok. i knew the latter wouldn't work and assumed it was te same for the former. whoops! *snatches back vaseline offering*
  4. Automate it with a radar detector! by the time it detects the radar you are ****** up the **** anyway. *hands over some vaseline*
  5. Even with the calibre of vehicles on offer, that would still be the hardest thing for me to get out of that entire sentence so it would seem.
  6. It's an earlier OBDII system so chances are your handheld doesn't have the data chip required. I've had 3 different OBDII scanners plugged in mine and none of them work. A workshop OBDII reader however (those damn expensive ones you wouldn't bother buying for home use) will read it no problem.
  7. The KU31's get a good review but you'll have to specify regarding the Sport Maxx'es as they have a few members in the family (Sport Maxx, Sport Maxx TT and Sport Maxx GT). The Sport Maxx doesn't get a good review but the Sport Maxx TT and GT do much better. The price difference between the TT/GT vs KU31 is quite large so keep that in mind.
  8. *shrugs* Ifyou say so.
  9. If money spent on a vehicle adds value, my Camry would be worth $35k. It doesn't work like that.
  10. *shrugs* If i didn't buy the eManage Ultimate already, this would have been a frontrunner.
  11. That's cause it works. No surprises here.
  12. You will find a pic of them uninstalled a few posts up.
  13. Why didn't i get a meme??? Edit: I guess it wasn't punny enough.
  14. And illegal. That is so cool. So very cool. I really want one.
  15. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Camry-Sportivo-02-04-Black-Headlights-Left-Right-/400216305766?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d2ec03066#ht_1485wt_960 I bought these to replace my factory ones that yellowed up. Be careful buying ones from the US as they won't be legal on your car due to the light spread. The DIY mod is to open up the headlights and spray the surrounds black. There is a headlight guide in the Workshop Submissions area.
  16. A plastic rubbish bin is a rubbish enclosure. It's not even close to being as rigid as a speaker box (especially one containing subwoofers) should be.
  17. 'better' is a very subjective term. Lower fuel.consumption doesn't make it a better car. Nor does power output. If someone buys a car purely based on fuel consumption, he/she has rocks for brains
  18. still will need a tune but given it was purchased January 2011, long awaited! Huzzah for Anthony! G5CFH suggests no gain however.
  19. That would be the Fuel Quality Standards act. http://www.environment.gov.au/atmosphere/fuelquality/standards/enforcement/index.html I know that my car doesn't run well on Vortex98 (neither does STYLSH's, same engine, both supercharged) but I'm not going to blaming an individual fuel vendor of illegal practices.
  20. ^ Not worth the extra dollars. You obviously need a higher octane fuel for the XR6T so that's different story. As for ethanol blended fuels? I have used try United 100 octane which is ethanol blended but i got economy similar to Ultimate/VPower/Vortex98 but the best engine response of the lot. The only reason i don't fill with it all the time is that they are a fair distance away. Need more United Fuel stations.
  21. Better blunt than being rude. You know, most mainland dealers will do shipping of parts they have. I am sure they won't mind doing international shipping to Tasmania. So you don't have to look local.
