  1. It's not a sarcastic comment. You picked up on things I didn't notice and the methods you use are backed up with logical reasons. My initial response after reading it could have been misinterpeted which is why I edited it.
  2. Ignore any of my previous advice. Despite my experience, it.is abundantly clear that P_T is superior; ie knows his/her stuff
  3. Nothing wrong with Angel Eyes on a 00 Camry. There are far worse things to have than that.
  4. Sealant is applied just kike wax. Between sealing and waxingleave at least 30mins. I always apply in a stroke (back and forth motion) and remove the product stroking the opposie way. Wax should not be seen as someyhing that, makes acar shiny but rather as something yhat provides.extra protection
  5. Meguiars Ultimate wash and wax ArmorAll wash and wax Meguiars Microfibre wash mitt Mothers California Gold claybar kit Meguiars M20 Polymer Sealant Meguiars NXT2.0 wax Meguiars foam applicators Meguiars Supreme Shine microfibre buffing towels (get a couple) I can't comment on a drying towel/chamois as the ones I have used that I bought here suck. You don't need to use the Megs wash and wax everytime. Split it like: 3 washes with ArmorAll, 4th wash with Megs. That list is based on the assumption that: 1) You don't want to break the bank 2) You don't want to do so much work frequently which overrides your desire to have maximum shine (hence the choice of synthetic products over Carnauba) 3) You are going to go to Superthief/Ripco/Autocrud tomorrow to buy the gear
  6. Saw this posted on JDMST. I feel the same way about the Nissan. Regardless of the result, this was a hot drag.
  7. Balls? That's a roots supercharger! Something with Numbers - Chase the Chaser
  8. Disagree. Even a new car will have swirls and you don't want to lock them in. For your initial session I would recommend: wash, clay, polish/swirl removal, seal, wax. As for products, how much work are you willing to do and what kind of budget do you have?
  9. Common misconception here. There is only one form of drop for the Aurion out of the King Springs catalogue. This is a "LOW" drop (catalogue here). What has happened here is that King Springs have used the "SUPER LOW" springs from other model Toyota's (specifically the Gen 4 Camry) and applied them to the Aurion marketing them as a "LOW" spring due to the resulting drop, even though the part numbers are a "SUPER LOW" variety. You can't actually get an off-the-shelf solution from King Springs that does a "SUPER LOW" drop for the Aurion (King Super Low and Ultra Low catalogue here). Edit: Some of this discussion was done here: Aurion ZR6 King Springs difference in Codes? Oh Jesus, that's right. I'd HATE to feel what superlows on an Aurion would be like. Custom springs from Kings is not cheap at all.
  10. No dice. I hate the uncomfortability of the SL but it looks so much better than low springs the tradeoff is worthwhile.
  11. So you aren't allowed to be a Salmon? :D I am glad George got us. Always wonder how we look from the outside
  12. I rather they crash on me than have my demerit points deducted.. and I have rental car from my insurance I have racing brake pad on my car anyway.. the law forces me to do so, but do not stop over the line, otherwise 3 points again..again, WTF is this.. In raining, this really sucks This is a good practise for me, with fear and full of formulas in calculating the yellow light length, and traffic condition, one single mistake can put me in trouble.. especially when you are tired Instead of doing maths, why don't you just drive?
  13. For reference, Steven has used Superlow springs which explains the loss in ride quality. Low springs will give you all the gains of lowering (handling wise) with little compromise in ride quality; but you'll only lower the car by about half of what Steven's dropped.
  14. Uhhh... That last pic. Look how far he is into the intersection. Trailer crossing or not. So are we going to start calling your Lance Armstrong (or Cadel Evans) or did you get lucky and still have some points left?
  15. Good results there Dutchie. I've been eyeing off their Blue Velvet for some time now. The only thing stopping me is the sheer amount of product that I already have!
  16. I am aware he asked about the safety, but given that OP stated he was looking to buy them and fit them; it's the right thing to do letting he/she know the legality of the intent. I'm going to go by QLD road rulings given the differences betwee state RTAs. SRI/CAI: A SRI/CAI setup is not illegal as long as: a ) the filter is securely fastened to the vehicle (no zip ties, needs to be a proper bracket) b ) the vehicle continues to comply with ADR 28 (now superseded by ADR83) (external noise) c ) the vehicle continues to comply with ADR 37 (emissions control) Also the filter does not specifically need to be enclosed; however you may need to do so in order for the vehicle to comply with ADR 83. Vehicle noise levels range from 76-81; for reference a passenger car 65 mph at 25 ft is rated around the 77db mark. HID: As you have said, HIDs are not illegal provided that they don't provide undue glare (re: Blind) other road users (ADR46) and the light provided must only be white light only. For compliance, this means proper lenses (no, not adjusted standard lenses); projector lenses and self-leveling ones if necessary. Just because lots of people do it, doesn't make it any less legal. Rims/Tyres: Like most states you can only go so far in terms of increase or reduction, in your example (going from 5.5 to 8) is also illegal as it is more than the 1.3x allowance. However, http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/c792a0c9-92b1-43ee-933b-7bdd8b20842f/pdf_modification_motor_vehicles2.pdf doesn't state that flaring the guards is illegal, it just states that the wheel must protrude past the wheel arch/flares OR past where it would usually protrude past (if the wheels originally went past the vehicle). I confirmed this some time ago when I emailed them regarding guard rolling (he referred to the guards as 'mudguards'): I completely agree with you regarding the point about many modified cars being safer than standard cars but that doesn't give us an excuse to do non-legal modifications to the car <_< After all, hoons/car enthusiasts (we're all the same) rate on the top of Society's Most Wanted list second only to paedophiles.
  17. They have stepped up to the plate exterior styling wise with the new GS range. A much more angular design compared to the current gen. interor however seems a little dated (looks older than the current gen) and I hope the wood finish also.comes in a.darker colour
  18. Purolator oil filters look very cool. They come with a sandpaper finish for 100% grip control!
