  1. not sure what are packed inside these hot dogs but when i looked inside, the design was very much like the magnaflow ones. they allow sound baffling with no hinderance of flow whatsoever. i was looking just getting rid of the farting noise. i can control how loud it is with the varex. i further raised my car also and i've told the guy to tuck it up as much as he could. i got it done here in melbourne. any DECENT exhaust place should be able to tuck it up as much as possible. if they have tucked it up as much as possible the only other thing u have to do is raise ur car abit.
  2. this is what im using... not sure about the dimensions but its certainly not 7'' diameter... the length its a total of 14'' this i found was the bear minimum to keep it from farting at high rpm. it only farts when the engine isn't fully warmed up (but who floors it when its not propery warmed up anyways?) this is a generic brand, u can try the magnaflow resonators, they basically do the same thing anyways.
  3. Bride rails are the only rails that will suit the sr3/sr4 seats from recaro the drivers side part number is: T187RO Approx $300 delivered from Japan

  7. hi tim, welcome to the forums! and looky here! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Toyota-Supercharger-TRD-/270801235104?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0d02eca0
  8. why are semis so hard to find the right size for 16s? gay.

  9. yeah i'm running a lower psi on the track anyways so maybe i wont notice a difference. but then again the sidewall on the semis would be less flexible than street tyres so might cancel out the extra flex with larger sidewall. i'm running camber on the fronts too :) any other opinions guys/girls?
  10. i looked at the plates before but thought oh thats nothing... just looked closer... LOL yes i'm noob -_-
  11. Hey guys after for some advice. i just got a set of rims (16x7) for track days. they are only bigger in width compared to my stockies (16x6). i'm looking for semis to wrap them around with. After my tyreman informing me that Federal don't ship the RS-Rs to australia anymore i was looking for other alternatives. Now i've run into another problem that other companies don't make the 205/50r16 size or they are specail orders that i will pay an arm and a leg for. I was recommended by a forums member to try the R888s and the most suitable size thats also the cheapest is 205/55r16. The R888s do come in 195/50r16s which was a size recommended to me by another forums member but i'd be paying almost 200 bucks extra for these! now the question i wanna ask is running a 205/55r16 profile would cause any problems (ie scrubbing and such)? My car has been raised but since i'm aware that there will be an extra 1cm diameter on the wheels, the scrubbing problem might still exist even though i raised my car 1 to 1.5cm. i'm NOT looking into rolling my guards (offset of new wheels are +33 compared to the stock +45). i rather adjust the height of my sussy. however i have maxed out how high i can raise them. what are also the pros and cons of running a larger sidewall? i will NOT be spinning these wheels on the public road. these are for track only. thanks guys :)
  12. very nice mate :) wheel offset?

Branno: The designer may know the market, but the production team don't always listen. I hope this is not the case, but I'm not holding my breath.

Thats very true Daryl. Im guessing you will be investigating one once it gets released.

  15. overtime the gearbox will grind on itself more, try dropping the fluid make sure theres no metal bits coming out, maybe u are just low on fluid. i remembered help changing one of the forum members gear box oil here. he had the original factory oil for 130k and it was basically almost like "black water" had just under 1 litre inside. after replacing it with the castrol syntrax 75W90 and 125ml of Nulon Gearbox additive, shifting has very much improved and the crunching dissapeared. FYI - our stivo boxes take 2.3L of gearbox oil, so u'll need 3L of gearbox oil. the additive is optional
  16. shift at 4k, shifting is easier and fuel efficiency isnt much different. if not it may use less fuel
  17. placebo affect everytime u change oil lol.... took out the interior and went over it with megs leather conditioner... slipping and sliding all over the place now! :D
  18. yeah coilovers are a must if u want to improve handling. i currently have mine at 8 fronts and rears for daily driving. i am considering even putting them on 0. very comfortable ride. if u go to the track occasionally, with the right damper and height settings, u will assist with braking as you reduce the weight transfer from the rear when u brake at high speeds. the axle tramping will reduce as well though motor mount inserts will help this even further - the only downside is more noise, harshness and vibration
  19. having a log book all stamped and dated doens't mean that your gearbox is trouble free. depends on how the previous owners drove it. my synchros are stuffed too i have trouble shifting from 2nd to 3rd (rare occasional crunch) i find that rev matching makes it crunch less. 2 grand rebuild? u might as well grab a brand new one at MWR with a TRD LSD inside for 2.6
  20. damn teasers... i have yet to see these in person too! haha thanks mate
  21. mine no problems if i didnt mod it :P but yeah in terms of reliability, never broke down on me.
  22. so thats what the rohs offset are! that means mine should be +40 too... the rears scrubbed so the +33 should be worse... *cries* ooh ah :o 16" with +40 rub on a ZZE really? better set your coils on rock hard.... edit: Blue rims look awesome nah that was with stock shocks with superlows :)
  23. if u can get them completely inside the ZR gearbox linkages that is... :D
  24. after 3 freaken hours of mucking around, i finally got the height that i wanted... 575mm all around. bring on the mazda speed rims :)
