  1. SOOOO i have being doing some myth busting and in light of Daryl’s information on a secondary look it was pretty obvious where the issue was. the connectors where the led’s link to each other are pretty much bare and of course are they same shape as the LED strip so there were touching the metal surface of the car. i unplugged one strip and connected it to the harness and hung it from the connector and it worked fine as it should, connected it to the other strips still on the car and of course it played up again so i unconnected the last LED strip and pointed its connection down towards the boot floor and connect the other end to the strip hanging fro the T10 socket and it worked fine. SOO i placed all the strips back where they were and just left 5cms each end of the connectors to hang in the air and of course it worked fine. By then it started to rain so i quickly grabbed some double sided tape as i wanted to try another thing before it ****** down so didn’t have time to get some nitto tape but anyway i wrapped the connectors up in the double sided tape and stuck the whole thing back how it was and SWEET it all works so tomorrow I’ll wrap the connectors in some neat white nitto tape and have another cack and stick it all down properly and neat again. But all looks promising.
  2. My linkWell ive being using this Oakwood product here and it leaves the seats nice deep shine and the seats go a nice deep colour as well as being softer, few colleagues here have ZR6's and Klugers etc and they complain their seats get very slippery with the products they use where the Oakwood product leaves the seats almost normal if anything you hold in them better without it being sticky though. unless of course you don’t wipe there excess off properly but other than that it’s a good thing.
  3. In reality it doesn’t matter if you have a chery or a Phantom your leather seats they still need TLC and often, i clean and conditioning my Leather seats around every 4 months paying particular attention to the driver’s seat especially the side where you climb in and out as this gets the most wear. Toyota will no doubt fix your seat but you really do need to look after your leather and it will look after you when it comes to spills and stains :)
  4. HAHA yeah yeah i'll drop around tonight see if we can suss the biatch out. they look pretty sweet. wasnt sure if three would be enough to light the boot up as well as it did the Spec B's as the Suby's is noticeable smaller than Aurion's but nope really happy with them.
  5. ahh well tomorrow i will take them off the car and plug them in and see if that makes a difference. rather annoying it just works in the Suby lol
  6. yes this is exactly spot on and is the very reason i just got new bars instead of getting them to repair the old ones lol.
  7. I fitted up the boot LED's looks really good but do have a slight teething drama though :-/
  8. So as mentioned earlier i installed the LED strips into the Aurion after work, they sit just inside the lip of the boot out of harm’s way just nicely with the harness running back alongside the LED strip, see attached images. HOWEVER..... i have a drama which I’m sure one of the clever guys on here will be able to point out why it does it and how its best fixed. When you shut the boot the LED's do not switch off. I only found this out by chance as something told me o pull down the ski port and see if they had gone off which they hadn’t... so just for a long shot i closed all the doors to see if they were randomly switched to the dimming interior light but no joy. So i put the T10 wedge globe back in and sure enough it switched off so to be more precise i pulled the sub and amp rack out of my car (which made me as happy as the dude that takes one for the team and does the fat chick!) so i could see right into the boot just to be sure the wedge globe was off and it wasn’t that the light output was so poor i couldn’t see it illuminating anything and sure enough LED stays on T10 didn’t.. Then of course i realised i didn’t need to of pulled the gear out of my car as when using a screwdriver to flick the latch on the boot i got the same result which sucks because the look awesome, any ideas boys?
  9. Just go straight for a brand new genuine one, there only like $118.00 plus around another $20.00 for the protector strips that seal off the spoiler from the main bar. A few months after buying mine i forgot about the drive way and home and shattered the left hand side of the bar so i god a whole new bar and spoiler put on and bonnet and guards resprayed for around $900.00
  10. Has anybody used the new Castrol Edge Sport Titanium? My bus is due for a service this week and I’ve always used Valvoline SYNpower but i thought i might go with a change this time and thought about the new Titanium, apparently it "handles heat" far better than the old edge sport. I’ll either get that or some jump on the Penrite band wagon.
  11. I received my kit last night so i will get some images of it tonight and post some of the kit and how it installs. I am still trying to get hold of this guys contact info so people that have PM me stand by for further details.
  12. Washed it. clear coat protected it, polished it and waxed it ready for a motor show tomorrow. fair to say caribbeam blue looks awesome when it's clean but im f@rked!

    270kw aurion

It's possible to get the TRD’s 2GR-FZE to produce that figure, Toyota/TRD have done it along with a manual gearbox mule with 265kw but was simply an animal in the wet so they say. There was also a black AWD prototype too :P
  14. Century supply TMCA there batteries for Altona and of course supply the dealer network there spare parts batteries. Century do some pretty decent test on their Toyota supplied batteries and have very good after sales service and not to mention great performance so you'd be nuts not to go for another 55D23L or higher performing Century product espcially if you have an aftermarket sound system. :)
  15. Must have word with the Mother, her Levin ZR is filthy as! :(

  16. lol there was a pimped and slammed tarago at work yesterday, had Lexus badges and was running the 3.0 1MZ-FE engine so was most likely a Estima.
  17. For a sh!t giggle lol?? Design work on the GR series family was heavily Lexus based. Also there are several engine plants around the world producing the engine. Initially final assembly for the engine for Aurion didn’t take place at Altona they were” crate" engines produced elsewhere by several Toyota Group Companies facilities and shipped here whole. But really it’s really a redundant argument whose engine it is because you could also say a LFA V10 is just a Toyota engine because it’s ultra-similar in design and componentry to the TOYOTA TF108/09 series race car Engine and Toyota designers worked on the engine aswell. Same can be said for the ISF V8. Also the TOYOAT Prius is built in a LEXUS factory by people with L on their shirts and not bull’s horn.. does that make the Prius a Lexus or Toyota??. Who cares??? Want to take it a step further a CT200h Lexus has a “Prius” Powertrain… Not really with getting into and worrying about too much. Unless it’s trivia time haha :P On a side note you can also make the Lotus engine cover fit if you’re a little creative.
  18. Oh Cheers Guys!! You’re all very kind! She has come up pretty good I’m stoked with it. Great to have something that’s half "unique" that stands out on the road although in Tas that's not too hard Really couldn’t be happier with it, Seems to get plenty of looks and people seem genuinely interested to know more about it and Aurion in general as most people know little about them. Guess most people interested in cars don’t really consider a Toyota. HAHA yes the brakes are a good thing!! Especially with some good fluid and braided lines, one of my favourite parts of the car
  19. Interior is fairly tame compared to the concept too? Wonder what happened to the turbocharged model idea..... Bit sad that they will have awesome handling and balance but not super awesome straight line punch to slingshot you out of a corner. Brake package doesn’t look anything overtly special either...
  20. HAHA yeah cheers guys! pics will come I have a few folders full so will pick some good ones and I have a few new ones of the sound system (just had a new VIBE sub put in so she was all apart again so good opportunity to get some happy snaps) and of the rear bar LED's. Pah: it's actually scary to see the list of mods... although some are only minor she all adds up. No doubt have left something off the list too haha & yeah it would be great to catch up when you make it over here next year
  21. LOL don't feel too bad you’re not the first person to of done this. We get people coming in all the time complaining about the auto headlamps and 99.9% of the time there is a fluffy toy over the sensor or they haven’t cut out the circle in the dash mat.
